"School has been tough. I don't know what I'm doing wrong because I seem to be getting low grades even if I keep studying. It's as though my efforts do not match the numbers on that test paper. I used to be a straight A student but I'm slowly failing each class (particularly Math ugh). btw i know it's summer, but we have school in my country during july."

Yes, being a student is difficult. One thing that makes it hard for us is that it requires us to be good in all its subject areas, even when most, if not all, people are only good at some and finds difficulty in others. And that's why we have turn our weaknesses to strengths. We all have our ups and downs, and how we'll surf with the waves depends on us.

In your case, you said you're a straight A student. And that means you're smart! Everyone is smart, in their own ways, as to the Theory of Multiple Intelligences. Having difficulties in some other subject areas will never make you less intelligent, nor a bad student.

And your efforts in studying were never wasted. In fact, it just shows how much you wanted to learn and your determination to grow more. And if you got the results that you didn't expect - like if it's a low score or failing score, do not lose hope or nor think that your efforts were never worth it, useless, or not enough. Because in order to turn our weaknesses to strengths, we have to keep trying. It's not a process that can be done in one night or two. It's a repeated action. If you think you're slowly drifting away from your expectations, then let's try again together. Yes, we all fail at some times. But failure should never change the way you are or the way you think of yourself. Even the smartest person still makes mistakes. Mistakes never made you less of a great person that you are.

Do not lose your self-confidence too. It's like your fuel to your journey. Imagine yourself walking alone in a city. You know where to go, but you were not sure if the way you know is correct. So you decided not to go anymore, without trying to figure out. But the irony is the way you know is actually the right one. That's like how it works. You know what you want, the things you're expecting from yourself, the standards you wanted to meet, but if you dont believe at yourself that you can do it, then you'll never be able to do it. If you think you're having difficulties in some subjects, then keep doing what you think is right. Believe in yourself that you can do it and you will do it. If you think you're losing focus, then put your attention on it. It may be hard on the first tries, but soon, you'll see how you boosted up yourself.

If you're not getting the lessons and the other stuff, then it's also good to ask help from other people or your friends. Share your knowledge to each others. Help each other pass and achieve things. Maybe you need a new inspiration or a new motivating environment. I know it's not that easy to ask the teachers about a lesson. Usually, we're shy to do it but if you can, then better! If your teacher is open to questions, then take the chance to ask the part where you get confused. Doing things by ourselves is nice, it shows how independent we are, but at some points, asking help from other people and helping other people is a better choice. We can't do everything alone, so is the other people.

That's pretty all I can suggest. Keep being positive and believe in yourself that you can do it. I'm wishing all the best for you!
