So, in a little more than a month, I'm beginning my final year of high school and, even though I remember myself always being enthusiastic about new school years and all that I was going to learn. Now, the more I think about it, the more apathetic and unenthusiastic I feel about everything. I catch myself wishing for everything to end quickly and this isn't like me. I almost dread going back to school and it's sort of confusing because that was something that made me excited since the first years of elementary school. Thank you for the time you took to read this! I would love to know your opinion on my situation.

Hi!
School can often seem like a chore, making it sometimes hard to feel excited about even going. But one thing's for sure, you need a good educational base. Not only for a good job, but also to be well-spoken and refined. This seems silly as you're probably only in high-school but education gives you more of an open mind and an improved analytical approach.

However, I think you need to not stress only about the curricular side of school. This sounds oh so cliche but you should get into clubs or like volunteer at places. Also, you get to reunite with your friends! Or you get the opportunity to make new ones. See, I don't know which country you live in, but in my country, if you do extracurricular activities, they kind of build up your CV.

Also starting school means a new beginning. Sure, the novelty of a new year wears off very soon but enjoy it. Learn to enjoy the little things in your school career. But on a lighter note, buy some cute stationary, some cute clothes (if you don't have to wear a uniform), get a hair cut (if you don't wear a scarf). I know you dread this year but personally, I find that it helps. Getting new things for school kind of gives you a renewed surge of excitement for school.

Dreading school is something we all go through as teens and personally, I think it's almost a rite of passage. However, if education is something you don't want to continue with and you can afford to not continue it, you can drop out as soon as you're of age. As you're at the end of your high school career), you have college to look forward to. It doesn't seem like much but you get to choose what you want to learn and what you want to be in the future. Therefore, you have your high-school graduation to look forward to. Or if you don't like that, you can look forward to having a you-day. And then you can look forward to all the perks that come with college.

But to wrap it all up, relax. Try and have fun and take it one day at a time. It's your last year at high-school. Try and keep up with all of your studies. And remember, high-school will be over soon.

Hope this helped.
