"Hello, my name is Amy I'll be your waiter for today, what can I get you to drink?"

We tell Amy our orders and she walks off and into the back.

I look over at Emerson and smile.

She tilts her head. "I don't know hardly anything about you," she starts "let's play twenty four questions."

I raise a brow amused "Twenty four?"

She shrugs with her signature grin lighting up the room.

I nod  "Okay."

She grabs a sugar packet and plays around with it while looking deep in thought.

"What's your favorite color?" She doesn't look up from the packet and keeps fiddling with it.

"Orange. You?"

"Yellow."

"What's your favorite flower?"

This time she looks up at me tossing the pink packet to the side. "I don't know a lot about flowers."

She grins like she just got an idea "Would it be cheating if I said Marigolds?"

My smile grows wider and I shake me head.

I look down at the table "Mine is a hibiscus." My voice is almost a whisper.

Emerson notices my mood change. "Why's that." Her voice -for the first time- is soft.

I look back up to her and smile sadly at the thought "They were my dads favorite. He loved gardening, he was always a big softy."

She doesn't ask why I use last tense. She doesn't ask what happened to him.

She asks who my favorite singer is.

"At the moment, Conan Gray. It's always switching."

"I love Conan. He really underrated."

I nod agreeing with her statement. I purse my lips to the side in thought.

"Favorite animal?"

Her eyes light up "Lizards."

I have to hold back a chuckle with the excitement in her answer. Before I can make a comment our drinks are placed in front of us and we order our food.

The rest of the conversation is random things we like and I'm positive that was more than twenty four questions by the time we are done.

The entire way to my house is Emerson dancing to music that's bringing back my emo phase. Then me laughing until I cry.

Especially when the old lady in the car next to us stares at her like she is insane and she winks making the woman look like she just saw a ghost.
