If you don't have internet and can't see the picture above it's Emerson's P.O.V :)
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

I groan into the pillow "I can't do this."

I can practically feel Sam roll his eyes. "Get your ass up and go."

I flip so I'm laying on my back and look up at the black hair blue eyed boy standing above me with his hands on his hips like the mom he is.

I sigh "I can't even look them in the eye right now."

I left Navaeh's this morning to come and rant to Sam about my extremely eventful night.

I know I have to go home and talk to them about this but I don't want to. Every time I think about it all I get farther and farther out into that ocean and pretty soon I won't be able to fight anymore. I'll just sink.

He sits in front of me when I sit up and cross my legs. "Remember when they told you Santa isn't real?"

I tilt my head in confusion but nod nevertheless.

He licks his lips and turns his head in thought "You cried. Like a lot," I roll my eyes "then you ran down the street to my house and you talked about how upset you were because you were being lied to for so long."

He looks back at me "But after that you started thinking of all the benefits it gave you," he smiles remembering the next part "you said you were going to tell Katy Stewart he wasn't real Monday at school and when you did it made her cry."

I laugh at the thought of that day. Katy was satan in the form of a nine year old child. We did everything in our power to do something bad to one another and telling her Santa wasn't real gave me a few extra points.

"What's your point, Macenzie?"

He rolls his eyes at me calling him by his last name "My point is Marigold," this time it's my turn to roll my eyes "Think If way that this could benefit you."

I give him a blank look "Yea, because there are so many good things about finding out your parents aren't your actual parents and they lied to you for your whole life."

He flicks my forehead "Just talk to them, it might go well." He shrugs.

I sigh dramatically and stand up grabbing my keys and sliding my shoes on.

"You talk like your in an episode of full house." I mutter.

I pillow comes flying at my head and I dodge it just in time.

I shoot him a grin "I'll see you later Sam."

The ride to my house I do everything I can to get out of my head. I turn up the radio as loud as I can without permanently making myself deaf.

That just irritates me so I turn it back off and sigh.

Pulling into my drive way I mutter "I hate my life."

I turn off the car and lean back in my seat. "Are you ready for this Emerson?" I whisper to myself.

Pursing my lips I open the door "Absolutely not."

I walk in the door and before I can even blink I'm tackled to the ground.

I grunt as the unknown creature starts licking my face ignoring my protests.

"Max!" A familiar voice yelps.

The dog is pulled off me and I wipe of the drool with a grimace.

"Sorry honey." My mom eyes me warily.

"Care to explain why I was just attacked by that monster." I raise a brow.

"He's not a monster," she scolds "and he followed your dad home yesterday and we couldn't just leave him out there so, meet max!" She announces cheerily.

I look down at it and wave. I'm not a big fan of dogs if you couldn't guess.

She turns serious "We didn't think you would come back today." She whispers.

I shrug "I want answers."

She nods her head  to the living room "I'll go get your dad and we will talk okay?"

I sigh "yea."

A few minutes later they are both sitting on the couch in front of me.

"What do you want to know?" My dad is the first to speak up.

"Why'd you lie?" I say, my voice void of any emotion.

"We didn't see a point in telling you. In our eyes we will always be your real parents."

"Why tell me now then?"

My mom sighs "Your biological parents found out we recently moved here and they want to meet you."

I raise a brow "They live close by?" She nods.

"We really are sorry Emerson." The look in my dads eyes tells me enough.

"Don't be, its not your fault." I shrug.

"Do you want to meet them."

Do I? To be honest I have no idea. Navaeh said I should hear them out and see if they have a good reason for putting me in the system.

But what if they just didn't want me. What the hell will I do then.

But I know I'm curious and that comes way above anything smart my brain is yelling at me right now.

I finally nod "Yea I do."

We share a few more words before I go upstairs to change out of yesterday's clothes.

I pick up my phone when I'm done and see I have a missed call from Ace I only missed it by about  six minutes.

I call him back and jump on my bed listening to the ringing noice until he picks up.

"Emerson! Thank god you called back I was panicking there."

I chuckle "What's up Ace?"

"I want to do something crazy but I'm going to need your help."

"I'll be over in ten."
