Dear Diary,
Yesterday, it was lunch and he ate with us. He's been doing a lot lately and I was so happy for some reason, I try to keep our friendship in order. I told Yassie about my liking him and she was bland about it, but I could understand why. He had really smelly feet and she would often whisper and joke about how he always carried so much cologne in his bag. And I told her that it was fine.
There was six of us, him, me, Marie, Ruby, Rick and his cousin, Claire. She was a bit chubby and she was short too. But I could say that she was definitely brainy but her mouth scared people away. Once she began spoking there was almost no hope of stopping her. Every now and then, I'd nudge her and she'd immediately understand the message and shut her mouth.
But either way, I care about her and often tease her about her weight. She told me that she wanted to lose weight while he told her that the chocolate he has will never make it into her mouth because chocolate is only for skinny people and I frowned. It wasn't really accurate.
He left for a moment and came back with an orange-flavored popsicle. I reached my hand out to it asking for some and frankly, he broke it in half and gave it to me.
"Thank you!" I exclaimed, he just nodded. He thanked people that way. Ruby asked me for some and I frowned. She ruined the moment for me, but regardless, I broke off half and gave it to her.
The next thing I heard was silence. I raised my head and to meet his eyes and everyone else's but they were still. It was happening again, I glanced over my shoulder and studied Marie, her face was stuck in a bored grin while he was on the verge of inserting the popsicle into his mouth. Slowly, I poked my finger on his stomach and it contracted. I let out a gasp of surprise. He looked at me and giggled like a child.
"Don't do that, it tickles!" he said, backing away. A smile tugged at the corner of my lips, I put my hand away and began to head to the library. Like always, Marie read Reader's Digest while Ruby slept and I took a look at some Macbeth. He was sitting in front of me, flipping through another Reader's Digest.
Just like that, things were no more crazier than they were the last time.
