Two Trails, One Stop

AN- Yes, i have been gone a while. No, i am not going to tell you why. Yes, i know you didn't care anyway. Yes, the chapter can begin now.

 "This is where you saw him go?!" Judy asked Nick as they pulled into the Mystic Spings Oaisis.

"What's the problem, Carrots? I didn't think you were one to judge."

"It's is a naturalist club, Nick. They Are All Naked."

The fox then gave a small chuckle," Not like we haven't seen eachother naked."

Judy turned around and glared at Nick," One more comment like that and our deal is off."

"It was just a joke," Nick said," You know, there was a time where you loved my jokes. What happened to THAT bunny?"

"She died along with the love she used to have with a fox. Can we save this for later? There is a case I would love to get over with."

Nick shrugged with a sigh," Alright."

The two then entered the building and walked to find a yak meditation at the front desk," Hello," Judy said silently, but when she didn't respond Judy continued," Excuse me?...Hello!"

"Huh?!" the yak then noticed Judy.

"Hello, I am Officer Ho-"

" Oh, i'm going to hit the pause button right there, because we are all good on Bunny Scout Cookies."

"Uhh No," Judy said," My name is Officer Hopps and I am here to ask about a Mr. Emmit Otterton, he was made present at this establishment."

Judy then handed the picture of Emmit to the yak and he inspected it," Oh yeah, That's emmit. Gotta say, I haven't seen him in a couple of days. Is he ok?"

"That is what we are trying to figure out," Judy said," Do you know anyone who can help us out?"

"Nani is his yoga instructor. I'd be happy to take you to see her, Just keep in mind, we ARE a naturalist club."

Judy shuddered a little," I'm aware. Let's get this over with."

Finnick had been sitting in his van for almost two hours now, waiting for Nick to return like he said he would, but there was a gut feeling telling him that that wasnt going to happen. Finnick's mind then went back to when he first met the two and how madly in love they were. The break up was hard, even for Finnick, because Nick and Judy were his first friends he made at ZHS.

The small fox wished that they could have some way to mend the scars that were made on their relationship. That these broken pieces could be put back together.

It had been seven years, but still, Finnick hoped things would go back to the way they were.

"THD03," Judy said to herself as she wrote down the information Yax had given to them without even realizing it himself.

"This will help very much thank you," Judy said with a smile.

"Told you Nani has the mind of a steel trap. I really wish I had the memory of an elephant."

Nick and Judy then left the naturalist clud and went outside," Well, Carrots, I had fun, and you have all the info you need, and sense any moron can run a plate, i'll take that pen and leave you."

"The plate, I'm not in the system yet. Perhaps there should be arrangements to our little deal, Wilde."

"Oh, come on, rabbit. I did what you asked. You cannot do this to me forever."

Not forever," Judy said," I mean, I only have 36 hours left to crack this case. So, can you run the plate or not?"

Nick furrowed his brows, but then an idea came to him," You know what? It just so happens that I have a friend over at the DMV."

"Then lets hit the road, Wilde."

The two then drove to the DMV, where Judy flipped out when realizing that the mammals she would have to deal with..were sloths.

Finnick looked at his phone, surprised to see a message from an old friend of theirs, Greg.

'Hey. I'm in Town. Wanna hang?' the message said. The fox gave up on Nick showing up three hours ago, so the small fox agreed to the arrangement and drove to the nearest bar where Greg sat," Where's Nick? Aren't you two Buddy-Buddy?"

"He's with Judy," Finnick said, taking a sip of his drink.

"I thought they broke up?" Greg said with a raised brow.

"They-" Finnick then saw a look in Gregs eye. This wolf was hiding something," They didn't. Three days after you left, they patched things up."

"Why didn't I hear about this?"

Finnick shrugged," You know, I always wondered why you gave Nick that drink. He Had said he didn't want any alcohol."

Greg shrugged," Thought the fox needed to relax a little."

"Bullshit," Finnick said.

Greg shifted his eyes, giving Finnick his answers. All this time, Greg knew something," Greg," Finnick said, leaning closer to the wolf," You wanna help me out on this? Or are things going to have to get ugly?"

Terry sighed," Yeah, I gave Nick the drink knowing what would happen, but...there wasn't just alcohol in it."

"What did you do?"

"Fin, it was highschool. I was a different mammal then, I swear."

"Greg," Finnick pushed," What did you do?"

Greg had a look of honest guilt as he said," Terry payed me to break them up. I hacked into Nick's messaging system and Judy's too. I made the messages, and the picture 'Judy' sent was made from a friend"

"Terry!?"

Greg nodded his head," Fin, I am really sorry. I swear I wish I could take it back, but at least Nick and Judy didn't break up for good."

"Oh, they did," Finnick said," I just knew you would spill the beans if I told you they were still together. It's called a hustle, Sweetheart. Now, get out of my face before I bite it off."

Greg then stood up and left the bar. Finnick groaned as he took in the information. This whole time. The whole seven years, Nick and Judy were apart for nothing.

"Put it on my tab," Finnick said as he too walked from the bar and getting in the van. There was another mammal he needed to talk to, but where he was would be a problem. Terry was still in Zootopia alright. Tundra town to be exact. But the mammal he worked for....was the biggest crime boss in all of Zootopia. The mammal still put fear into the pit of the Fox, but luckily, he and Mr. Big had a past that may help him out, or maybe he will be iced before he even walks through the doors.

Finnick started his drive to Tundra Town.

Judy and Nick finally exited the DMV as it was becoming dark. Their vin number was to a limo service in Tundra time, so the two needed to get there asap. Judy was not happy that they had wasted the day, but now they were closer then ever, and hopefully, they found their prime suspect.

Getting in their vehicle, Nick and Judy started their drive to Tundra Town. 

AN- This is the part where i say what i thought about the chapter after leaving you at a cliff hanger, i then look on Wattpad every ten minutes to see how the chapter did because i get anxious as fuck when i publish a chapter. Yes, i yada yada this AN, but i have bigger fish to fry right now. Hope you enjoyed the chapter.
