ENJOY
Getting off the train, Judy was very excited to start what she saw as being the start of something amazing that she has been waiting for for a long time. Her first stop was simple. To the apartment complex she had called about before she came to the city. The joint was ran by an armadillo who had a mixed personality. She seemed nice at the start, but was serious about the rent and the key, which made sense seeing as how the apartment was pretty trash, but The bunny still loved it.
It was her first home that she could live in alone. She felt a sort of freedom from it.
Her neighbors, Bucky and Pronk, were currently arguing. It was something the bunny already knew she was going to have to get used to. Judy had decided to give herself a break from the two and went out to get some food.
The walk to the store was a pretty good ways, but the bunny already knew the town pretty well, so finding it wasn't a problem. However, as she walked she passed the the farm she had lived at for almost two years. She was going to just walked passed it because of who she feared might still be working there, but with no luck. The guy who owned the field, Steve, recognized the bunny instantly.
"Judy," the voice called," Well i'll be. Having seen you in years."
Judy sighed a little as she walked to the lama," Hey Steve, it has been a while. How is buisness?"
"Busy," The lama laughed," What brings you back to Zootopia?"
Judy reached into her pocket and proudly showed her the badge," I am now an officer of the ZPD."
"Wow. That is great."
Judy nodded," It is," she then asked the question she dreaded," Does..Nick still work here?"
The lama shook his head," No. I haven't seen him in a few years either."
Judy nodded her head, happy with the thought that he may have moved away also," Well, I have to run to the store to pick up a few things. I'll catch you later."
"Hopefully not when I am driving," Steve laughed," Welcome back, though."
"Thanks," Judy said, walking down the road once more.

Judy had finally got her groceries and headed back home with bags in her hand, she dreaded the walk, but pushed on. However, the bunny was stopped by a familiar sound that made her ears pick up. She turned around and saw Finnick's van starting to slow down upon seeing her," Judy?" the fox said.
"Yeah, it's me," Judy said, continuing to walk.
"Well damn, what brings you back to Zootopia?"
"Save it, Fin," Judy said continuing to walk.
The small fox shut off his van and got out, running to catch up with the bunny," Hey now, what did I do?"
"What did you do? If you didn't remember, me and Nick are not together, and you are a pretty good reason for that. You and him decided to go get drunk and it ended up breaking me and Nick up."
The fox then lowered his head," Look, I get it. Nick fucked up. But you fucked it up too. I mean, the things you said. What you sent afterwards. Judy, I read the messages."
Judy sighed a little," What do you want anyway?"
"I thought I could give you a ride home. I don't care what you think of me, but I still see you as a friend, and I am not just going to let you walk home."
Judy smiled a little," Thanks. I didn't want to walk all that way anyway."
The two then entered Finnicks van, and Judy began to speak," Is Nick still around?"
"Yeah, he is," the small fox said.
Judy sighed a little," What is he doing now?"
Finnick didn't want to lie to the bunny, but he had caught a glimps of the badge sticking out of her pocket and decided to keep the secret from her," I don't know. We only talk once in a while."
Judy nodded her head," Well, please do not tell him I am here."
Finnick nodded his head," I promise. However, you know you can't run away from him forever."
"I know," Judy admitted," But I can try for now."
The van finally stopped at the apartment complex Judy had explained to him. The Bunny thanked her old friend and got out of the van.
Finnick then drove away. His fan making a loud popping as it left onto the highway. The bunny got back into the apartment and put the bags on her table before dropping onto the bed. The bunny felt the memories of her and Nick come back, which made her a little sad and angry at the same time. The bunny then remembered what she came back to Zootopia for and started to smile again. She started her first day as a cop tomorrow and she wasn't going to let the memories of an ex boyfriend ruin that.
The bunny had said before she came to Zootopia that Nick was nothing to her but a memory, and it was going to stay that way.
###
Judy woke up at 5:30 with excitement as she hopped out of bed and quickly got dressed for the day she had been waiting for for so many years. The looked herself in the mirror with pride, rubbing some dust off her shiny badge before running out of her apartment and toward the subway station. She soon made it to the ZPD and looked at the large building with a smile. This was it. The day she had been waiting for. It almost felt unreal to her.
Judy Hopps had made it.
AN- I know, it is a pretty short chapter. They won't always be like this though. Concider it as plot development. So, Judy has run into Finnick already. And, given the line of envents, i think we all know what is coming next.
