Aziraphale got the girl settled in a chair, with a blanket and a warm cup of tea. He couldn't help it. Seeing someone in the state she was in broke his heart, he could stop himself from helping. The girl on the other hand look a tad bit uncomfortable, and was just letting it all happen to her.
The angel finally settled into the chair across from her. "I think it's finally time for introductions," he declared, glancing at the other two in the room. Neither looked to be the ones to start. "I'm Aziraphale, and he's Crowley," he introduced himself to the girl.
"I'm Eve," the girl introduced herself, timidly, but still. She just ahzed down in the cup of tea she refused to drink, while swinging her legs around mildly.
"Where are your parents?" Crowley asked, getting down to business. She girl didn't answer. The clest they got to a response, was her curling in on healef and the stillness of her legs. Obviously not something good.
Aziraphale glanced at the demon who had a worrying grimace on his face. "What Wre you doing out, all by yourself?" Aziraphale asked. "If you got lost, we can take you home."
She vigeriouslh shook her head, obviously not fond of that idea. "I don't want to go back there," she said, over all close to tears.
The angel and demon made eye contact, knowing they were not dealing with something as simple as either of the hoped. "Why don't you want to go back?" the angel asked. They couldn't solve anything if they knew nothing.
The girl was crying at this point. Tears were falling down her cheeks, but no sins could be heard coming from her. "Granny hates me," she said through the tears, "She said so hersslf. Neither of us want me there, so I left."
"What do your parents think about this?" the angel questioned. Of all the things he could assume, he would never assume the reality of the situation.
Eve continued to sit there, a stoic look on her face as tears dropped down her pale cheeks. "They're not around," she said simply, with much thought. Obviously there was something she was keeping from the two.
"What kind of parents would leave there kid?" Crowley groaned. He's tempted many people to do so, one of the hardest things to do.
Panni glared at him, obviously getting defensive over the comment. "The dead kind," she hissed at him. That put a shock on the two. She was so you he, but Jr parents had already passed on, a tragedy must have befallen the family. "Three week ago, we were in a car crash," she mumbled, barely auditably. Her gaze was locked in to her left arm and leg, the injuries, obviously from the accident.
Sobs finally shook the girl, frightening the two erethral beings. Even through the years of watching Warlock, they never dealt with a crying child. Let alone a human child. Aziraphale let his instincts come over him and rushed to give th girl a hug. It just so happened that he picked her right up out of the seat.
Eve clun onto the angel's jacket, while she cried into his shoulder. "It may seem hard now, but in the end, everything will be alright," Aziraphale cooed to her, swaying on his feet.
She cried out something through her tears, which neither of the two cod understand in the slightest. Slowly the sobs grew quieter and quieter. The grip on the angels jacket grew limo, as did the girl in her arms.
"What do we do now?" Crowley questioned, "She fell asleep?"
Aziraphale stood there for a moment thinking. "It's late," he stared, "She'll just have to stay the night." he forced the sleeping girl onto Crowley, who was fluster just by the thought of holding her. Aziraphale rushing into the back room. By the sound of the foot step, up stairs to his loft as well. The one that he didn't use beyond the kitchen.
Croey stood there awkwardly, watching the girl in his arms. With her hair drying, it have way to a red shine in the russet locks. Her skin was pale and smooth, and fill of the glow of younge life. Eve stiffened in his arms and started grasping for something. Her grip was tugging at his clothes in desperation.
Unsure what else to do, he slung her up to rest her head on his shoulder, and went to find the bag she came in with. The angel had put it on the coat tree to air dry with her jacket. The zipper was wide open reveling another dry outfit, a note book, and a blanket. He quickly pulled it out and replaced the girl's grip onto that, than hi clothes. Crowley didn't even bother studying the blanket more, beyond the fact it was a quilt.
"Bring her up," the angel's voice echoed form upstairs. Crowley couldn't rid himself of the girl soon enough. He was still considerate going up the stairs, as to not wake the child. He'd been in the baren flat before, but that was no longer the case. The demon could onky assume the angel miracles furniture into the room. Antique everything, couch, coffee table, and dinning set. While furniture was the it was not overly, homey.
Crowley just say the girl down on the couch, prepaired with blankets and a pillow. "You're doing a lot for this one child, Angel" the demon commented, "I've seen you do less effort in a mission from heaven."
"I just feel obligated to help," Aziraphel confessed, "But tomorrow morning, will return her to where she belongs, with her family." The two continued down stairs to go back to what they had been doing previously.
Crowley scoffed, "Not sure that's the right thing to do. She ran away for a reason."
Aziraphale turned around to face him. "Grief can cause people to do crazy things," he said solemnly.
