"Dallie! Look I finally did it!" Liam said when we entered Dallon's hospital room. He was looking much better then before. I smiled. "Woah. Awsten you committed to the hair colour too?" He asked when he saw me enter. I nodded shyly.

"He didn't really have a choice." Liam smiled and giggled while Dallon played with her hair. "Both Of you looking fucking awesome! I'm glad to se-" Dallon's sentence was interrupted by someone pushing me out of the door way and stomping into the room.

Ciara.

"Dallon, when are you gonna be back at school? We really need to work on that project." She said, pushing Liam out of the way. Liam scowled at Ciara. "Really, I don't know." Dallon answered, looking at me.

I moved over to Liam and took her hand. Dallon nodded. "He just git hit by a car. What does a stupid project matter?" Liam started, looking over at Ciara with somewhat flushed cheeks.

"It's my grade, Weekes." She said. "Psh, as if you have straight A's." I said and Ciara looked at me. "Awsten, baby. I didn't notice you were here."

"Baby?" Me, Dallon and Liam spat out at the same time. Ciara shrugged with a evil grin on her face. "Yeah. Awsten will always be mine." I scoffed. "You do know that you don't own me, right, Ciara? I'm not something your Dad bought you. I'm a real person. And I don't love you. I never did." I said and Ciara took a step back. Finally she realized that the world doesn't revolve around her.

"Jokes on you, Awsten. I've got someone who likes me for me." She said. With that, another person stepped into the room. Dallon legitimately got out of his bed and stood in front of me and Liam. I couldn't see who the person was since Dallon was a giraffe. But from his reaction, I'm guessing that it's Kenny.

"Kenny baby!" Ciara said. "Dallon, sit down. I've got her." I said and Dallon nodded at me. He sat down on his bed and I gripped Liam's hand tighter. I felt how her hand shook in my grasp. I pulled her closer to me and felt the soft skin of her forearm...and a dent? A dent in her skin?

"Hey Lilly." Kenny chuckled, an evil smile similar to Ciara's on his face. I turned around to face Liam and put both my hands on her cheeks. "Listen to me." I said. But Liam's eyes kept on going everywhere besides mine. "Listen. Look at me, Liam. Look. Into my eyes." I said and she finally looked at me.

"It's okay. I promised that I'll protect you, Okay? And I never break my promises." I said. She nodded, slowly. I pressed a kiss against her temple and her cheeks turned red. I smiled. "Let's get out of here." I said.

She moved away from me, kissed Dallon on his cheek and smiled at him. Then she took my hand again and we made our way out of the hospital room. Unlucky for us, Kenny and Ciara followed close behind.

I opened the car door for Liam and she got in. I closed it and ignored Kenny and Ciara Walking up to us. I entered my car and drove off.

"I should probably tell you about Kenny, shouldn't I?" She started when we were far away from the hospital. I didn't know where were going, but I figured that he park would be a nice place at the moment.

"You really don't have to-"

"He was my first love. It took his so long to actually ask me out, but when he did, I was so happy. Kenny and I started dating. But when I realized that he wasn't who he seemed, I dumped him. For months we went without a single word to each other. He was bad for me, Awsten. He was really bad for me. I would stay awake at night, thinking about all my imperfections. I hated myself because of him." I watched as she shivered. I frowned.

"It took agaves for me to be as confident as I am today. And I-I miss who I was before." She swallowed. I felt tears build up in my eyes and I parked at the park. I looked at her and she looked at me. I let a tear fall down my cheek and she immediately wiped it away. "Why are you crying?" She asked.

"I-I can't imagine what sort of a monster could make you feel like that. And the fact that he's still out there, it's sickening. I-I really just want to punch him in the face right now. You know-?" My voice suddenly broke. Liam laughed. "Wow Awsten. I wouldn't threaten someone with that voice." She joked, smiling. I rolled my eyes and got out of the car. Liam followed close behind.

"Woah." Both of us said in unison when I approached the wooden gazebo that was covered in beautiful blue fairy lights.

I walked up to her, wrapped an arm around her waist and took a deep breath.

"Pardon me, Summer scene." I started singing and she immediately looked at me with a smile on her face. "You found me and finders keep. You're why I'm sitting here making up songs in my room ad-lining around like bum bum bum bum. You're why I keep my Texas sleep hours during Holidays instead of sleeping around like bum bum bum." Her smile grew wider when I grabbed her hand. I took her away from the railing, watching how her eyes lit up in the moonlight.

"Mind your head, I've lost my mind from think about, thinking about you all the time. Mind your head, has lost its sight, from thinking about, thinking about you all the time. The la-la-la-lobotomy has taken all of me. The la-la-la-lobotomy took all but you, so let me go, let me go down." She was smiling, half singing to the song.

"So let me go, let me go down. So let me go let me go down. Pardon me, cutting sleep. I'm taking up grinding teeth. You're why I'm sitting here hating myself for needing someone so bad and feeling dumb dumb dumb dumb. If why I'm sitting here all goes wrong just pushing me back to Texas Walking bum bum, goddamn!" I heard that familiar giggle and I watched as water begun to line her beautiful shimmering eyes.

"Mind your head, I've lost my mind from thinking about, thinking about you all the time. Mind your head, has lost it's sight from thinking about, thinking about you all the time. The la-la-la-lobotomy has taken all of me. The la-la-la-lobotomy, took all but you so let me go down." I stopped singing and watched as a single tear drop fell from Liam's eye.

She hugged me back and begun sobbing on my shoulder. I rubbed her back. "A-Awsten." She sobbed and pulled away. She looked into my eyes and I wiped the tears from her cheeks. "Can I tell you something?" She said. I nodded.

"I really like you."

I felt my insides twist into knots. I felt my knees buckle and my heart raced. I couldn't describe how it felt, to have her say something like that to me. I looked her in the eye and smiled.

"Can I tell you something, Liam?" She giggled and nodded.

"I like you even more."

Her eyes seemed to glow a lighter shade of brown, her hand slipped to my waist and she moved in closer to me. She got on her tippy toes and our lips touched.

I smiled, let my eyes flutter closed and let our lips float together.
