After school I drove Liam back to her house so she could pick up her stuff. I sat in my car, drumming my finger against the steering wheel to Hazy Shade Of Winter.

Just as the song ended, Liam opened the door, her hair tied back into a ponytail. She threw her bag in the backseat and closed the door again. "Soooooooooo." She said, a smile on her face. "You ready for me to come over?" She asked and I smiled.

"I've been waiting for forever." I said and drove out of her driveway. Peach began playing and the two of us sang at the top of our lungs, smiles on our faces.

When I pulled into my driveway, I noticed that Dad's car wasn't there yet. "My Dad isn't here yet." I said as I parked the car into the Garage. It rolled to a stop when Liam said, "Well, what do you want to do?" I shrugged. "Hey, Awsten?"

I looked at her, a little bit to quickly, making my neck hurt. She smiled and rolled her eyes. "Thank you, for asking me to prom. I really wasn't gonna go, well I was, with Allie, but then she moved away. Dallon said he'd go with me, but like, I really didn't want him not to go with Breezy. But I've got you. And I uh, thank you." She said, occasionally looking down at the seat. I smiled. "I was gonna go alone, but then you came along and just-you just made me feel happy again. So how could I not ask you?" I smiled, making Liam blush then giggle.

Both of us got out of the car and I got her bag from the backseat. We made our way inside the house and when we got to the staircase leading up to my room, Liam stopped and groaned. "Really?" She said. I looked down at her. "What?"

"Well, the stairs. Awsten. That's what. I'm a lazy bitch that hates stairs." I laughed. I grabbed her waist, tilted her back and picked her up bridal style. I carried her up the stairs, her eyes avoiding contact with mine, her cheeks a beautiful rosy color.

I reached my room at the end of the hallway and opened the door. I set Liam down lightly on my king sized and put her clothes in the corner. She smiled at me. "What?" I asked and sat down on the bed next to me. She giggled. "Nothing. You just look really nice today." I smiled and felt my cheeks heat up.

"Well, you look even better." She giggled then pushed me down on the bed. She held my arms above my head and pressed her lips against mine. Her kiss came off as a shock to me, but I slowly eased into it.

Her hands let go of my wrists and made their way to the hem of my shirt. She broke the kiss and searched my eyes, looking for some sort of approval. She got off of me and I got off the bed. I slowly took my shirt off.

She got up again and I let the soft cotton fall to the floor. She stood on her tip toes and draped her arms around my neck. I let my hands drift around her waist and she kissed me again. I kissed her back, feeling how full of love and passion her kiss was.

Her hands moved from around my neck to my back when she bit my lip, asking for entry. I gave it to her, but yet again, I was not about to go down without a fight. Our tongues fought for dominance and I wrapped my hands into her hair. I accidentally tugged on it, making her moan into the kiss. Her nails dug deep into my skin, tugging down all the way to the small of my back.

A familiar yet unfamiliar pain shot through my back. Liam immediately pulled away and I winced. "Oh my god Awsten I am so sorry." She said. I put my hand to my back and felt that familiar texture of blood on my fingers. Liam turned me around by my shoulders and looked at the scratches. "Oh my god. I'm so fucking sorry! What was I even thinking?" She said and started dabbing the scratches with her sleeve.

She immediately ran off and I followed her. Before I got to her location, she was back, holding my First Aid Kit in her hands. "Sit down." She said and motioned to my bed. I took a seat and she opened the kit.

"Dallon did always tell me about my nails. Whenever we got into fights as little kids, I always used to scratch him. And still when we get into fights now, I friggen' scratch him! So I kinda know how to treat scratches." She said. I smiled, despite the pain in my back. My back suddenly stung more as she dabbed the disinfectant onto it. I winced in pain.

"Oh god I'm really sorry, Awsten. Next time you know not to pull my hair, Ghostbuster." She giggled. "I'll try keep that in mind."

We sat in silence while she fixed my back. Her hands were so nice and warm, soothing, almost. When she finished, I struggled to put on my shirt, but I did it. I frowned. "I'm sorry again, Awsten." She apologized, kissing my cheek. I smiled.

"Hey, it was an accident. Don't even stress." I smiled and kissed her cheek. She giggled and I kissed the corner of her mouth. I started to pepper kisses along her cheek, moving down to her neck.

I stopped when I heard the front door open. "My dad's home." I said, holding her waist and she nodded. "I'm excited. What's his name?"
"Dawson."
"Oh okay. Shouldn't I just call him Mister Knight? Yeah I'll just call him that." She smiled and then left the room. I followed close behind, my scratches still stinging a bit.

"Hey Dad!" I said when I saw him. He smiled at me, Liam now standing behind me. "Hey Awsten." He said and then Liam came out from behind me. Dad smiled at her. "Hi um, Mister Knight. I'm Liam. Liam Weekes." She said and shook Dad's hand.

Dad's smile grew wider. "Please," He said. "Call me Dawson." Liam smiled and they stopped shaking hands. "I got take out. I didn't know what you'd like, Liam so I just got us some Burger King." Dad said and Liam smiled.

"My favorite." She said and Dad put the brown bag on the table. The three of us sat around it and I got three plates for us. "You know, this isn't what I imagined." I said once we got the food out and started eating.

"I thought it be all tense and stuff. But I guess it's chill." I said and smiled. I took a bite of my burger and smiled when I saw Liam and Dad smiling at each other.

"Are you guys ready for Prom on Saturday?" Dad asked. I sighed. "I haven't gotten my suit yet." Liam sighed.  "I haven't gotten my dress yet, too. Hopefully Gerard should be coming over soon so I can get it with him."

"What? You mean Gerard Way?" Dad asked and Liam nodded. "Yeah. We're related. He's my uncle. Lindsey's my aunt." I watched as my Dads eyes widened. "Woah that's so cool! So, when you and Awsten get married, will he be at the wedding?"

Liam nodded. "Yeah. Gerard and I are really close.Ever since my parents died, Gerard's been here for me." She said. I frowned a bit at the mention of her parents, but her mood didn't shift.

"I really like your hair, Liam. I think it suits you." Dad complimented her. I watched as she cheeks flushed red. "Hey Dad, she's my girlfriend not yours." I said defensively, which made Liam's cheeks grow a deeper shade of red.

The rest of the dinner was spent with some casual conversation. But I was itching to get back to my room with Liam, because I had another surprise for her. When we finished, my dad offered to wash the dishes. We didn't say anything and I piggy backed her up the stairs again.

We got to my room and I locked the door behind me. "Look, I know I missed your birthday." I started, opening my nightstand drawer and taking out the square box. She smiled.

"Oh, Awsten." I opened the box and she stared at the necklace inside. I got her a sliver necklace with a four leaf clover on it. "It's a four leaf clover, because you're the luckiest thing that's ever happened to me." I said. She look it out and admired it. "How much did this cost?"

"It doesn't matter." I took it from her hand and put in on for her. Geoff helped me choose this necklace for her. If we ever get married, he's gonna be my best man.

"Thank you, Awsten. Thank you so much." She threw her arms around me. I accepted the hug and smiled. "You wanna watch some Netflix? I'm pretty sure Stranger Things season three is out." I said, flipping on the TV in front of my bed. She smiled and nodded.

We climbed into my bed and I wrapped her in my arms. She lay her head on my chest. We started watching, but half way through the show I noticed that Liam fell asleep.

I shut off the TV and cuddled up with her. I wasn't tired enough to sleep, so I watched as her chest rose and fell. She looked peaceful. So beautiful. I slowly let my eyes drift closed, my mind still on her.
