"You'll be okay, just a little bruise and some stitches. Don't you have prom soon?" Doctor Rodes said as he finished. Liam and I spent the night in the hospital, me in her arms. I didn't ask about her scars, I just traced some of them and it didn't seem to make her uncomfortable.

"Yeah. Tomorrow. We were gonna pick up our things today." Liam smiled. Doctor Rodes looked at her and smiled back. "Well, you've got your prescription. Just come back to get your stitches removed." He said and nodded. Liam and I got up and I shook his hand.

"Thank you." I said and he smiled. Liam and I made our way out of the hospital, her arm linked with mine. "Gerard should be here soon." She said when we got to the car park.

She saw a specific car and then made her way to it. Black tinted windows and a car just as dark. She opened the backseat door and climbed in. I followed suit.

The car was really nice, the interior black just like the exterior. Except for the floof of white hair that I saw sitting in the front seat. They turned around to face us. That's when I came face to face with someone I looked up to for years.

"Hey, you must be Awsten, right?" Gerad asked me. I nodded. "Well, im Gerard Way, Liam's uncle. It's nice to meet you." He smiled then put his hand out for a handshake. I shook his abnormally soft hand with a smile.

"Nice to meet you too, Mister Way." I said. "Oh no, call me Gerard. And how are you doing?" He pointed to my stitches, which would eventually be my scar. "It hurts, but I've got pain meds so it should be better soon." I said. Liam sighed.

"Some douche at school beat him up. And I wanna know who. You know, I think it's got something to do with Ciara." She said, looking over to me. I nodded and sighed.

"Or maybe even Kenny...it was a guy that attacked me. I couldn't see much, besides the build and his hands, they were weird, tiny." I said. Gerard sighed and turned back to face the wheel.

"We'll find out who it is. But right now, we have to go pick up your prom dress." I could see his smile in the rearview mirror. Liam's cheeks grew a vibrant red, my favorite type of shade on her. A red.

The car started and we drove to the place, wherever we're going, in a bit of silence, Liam gripping on my hand and music playing in the background.

We got to the place, it looked to high end for me to be here. We got out of the car and walked into the fancy boutique. "Ah, Mister Way? Ready for your appointment?" A receptionist asked. Gerard smiled and Liam and I sat down on the couches. This place was filled with suits and dresses.

"Did you pick out anything?" I whispered. "No. Gerard said that he had a few dresses that he picked for me...but his...fashion choice...it's questionable." She smiled. I smiled back at her. I still noticed the scars on her arms. Many of them. I wonder where they came from.

"Okay Liam! I got you a couple dresses." Gerard said, a bunch of dresses covered in plastic draped over his left arm. "And I got you matching suits, Awsten."

"Oh, you really don't have to. I was gonna wear my dad's old tux." I said. I didn't want him to buy it for me, but I did at the same time. He handed me a suit and Liam a dress. We went over to the fitting rooms.

I set the suit down and drew the curtain closed. I took a moment to look myself in the mirror.

My purple hair. The stitches over my left eye. My weird nose. My none matching eyes. I looked horrible. I thought I'd at least look okay, maybe even good. But I look like a mess, a fucking bottom feeder.

How could Liam love something like me? I look like I'm constantly dead inside, like i don't have anything to live for. My eyes are so dull, my jaw is a bit blue. I feel disgusting.

I sighed and picked up my suit. I got changed into it and then looked myself in the mirror again.

The color was a black, both my pants and my suit jacket. The tie was red and my button up was white. Did Gerard really just make me look like I was straight out of the revenge era?

I stepped out of the changing room and when Gerard saw me, his eyes began to glow. "Oh. My. God. Awsten you look amazing!" He said, walking up to me and straightening my tie. I smiled. At least someone thinks I look good.

When Liam stepped out, I felt the air stolen right out of my lungs. She was the definition of beauty.

She wore a short sleeved black dress, the top more like a corset that defined her figure. The bottom half was really poofy, the poof stopping just above her knees. Gerard swapped her black converse for red ones, matching my tie.

The only thing that threw me off, was the fact that she wasn't wearing anything to cover up her arms. They were completely free, showing all of her scars.

"You look beautiful, Bunny." I said, stepping closer to her and resting my hands on her waist. She smiled then blush, looking away from me. I put my fingers under her chin and tilted her head up to look at me.

Our lips brushed for a second, then her smiled grew and my cheeks went red. "I think you look amazing too." She said, our lips brushing at every word she said.

I smiled, then felt her soft lips pressed against mine. My stomach felt like I was on a rollercoaster and my heart skipped a beat. I kissed back, getting lost in the moment and forgetting that Gerard was here.

We split the kiss with smiles on both our faces. "We should change and get home. Gee, I think we'll take these." Liam said to Gerard, who had the most sheepish smile on his face. He nodded and then the two of us went to go and change.

I quickly got into my clothes and Liam and I met outside of the store. She lead me to the car, no words spoken, which made me a bit anxious. We got into the car and locked the door. She looked at me and smiled.

Her eyes were glowing, beautifully. She smiled and cupped my cheeks. She slowly leaned in and kissed my lips, slower than usual. She put passion into the kiss, even love. I kissed her back, just as slow and as passionately as she kissed me. I felt over the moon right now, her hands on my cheeks and mine on her waist. She was everything I've even dreamed of, the gold at the end of my rainbow.

I split the kiss and smiled at her.

"Kiss me like nobody would when I was 15."
