We all go to hell

Frank sighed as he threw his school supplies into his backpack. It was his last year at high school and he couldn't wait to get away. He didn't really have any friends, and although he didn't mind too much; preferring to be more of a loner, he was sick and tired of stupid homophobes and annoying people.

Frank was out and proud as gay, and the school wasn't all that accepting. After Frank had kicked the main bully's ass last year, people tended to simply steer clear of him. The brave ones threw insults, but luckily nothing more solid...anymore.

The only boy Frank had ever really been interested in was one of the super homophobic kids; the kind that believed being homosexual was a sin. Frank was good at this argument, but he avoided it at all costs anyway.

On the walk to school, Frank contemplated how he felt about seeing Gerard Way again. Frank had once had a short....thing...with the boy's younger brother, Mikey Way and they had ended up good friends until Frank left the middle school and Mikey cut him off. They'd kissed a couple times, but Frank's feelings for the younger boy were long since gone and he knew that Mikey's parents wouldn't have approved of the relationship, so, in many ways, things had worked out to the best advantage for everyone.

Frank scuffled his already beaten-up converse across the concrete, humming to himself and still blinking sleep from his eyes.

It wasn't a long walk, and soon the teenager was outside of the school gates, looking up. He had good classes this year; he'd convinced the counselor that he needed two slots of band, and was very glad he had. Frank suddenly spotted a familiar head of bright red hair and sighed, pain shooting through his heart. Curiosity and a human sense that maybe things had changed, that maybe the boy would be different drove Frank to move closer, silently daring the red head to make some kind of comment.

Soon he could see his face, his wide jaw and his proud, but affable grin, and of course, his beautiful hazel eyes. The boy with red hair was chatting with his younger brother, smiling happily and somewhat lovingly. Frank briefly wished that the boy was looking at him like that, but pushed it away. It would never happen.

Gerard Way looked up, his red hair brushing his jaw.

"Hey faggot," he sneered. "Still going to hell?"

"Look around you," I shot back, gesturing to the buildings around us. "You are too."

Gerard opened his mouth to say something else, but Mikey touched his arm.

"Gerard, leave him be," the younger boy murmured. Frank gave him a grateful look which was, as usual, ignored.

Frank sighed and walked off. Mikey still didn't want anything to do with him, Gerard still hated him, and nothing had changed. Why did he think it would have?

Authors note:

So, chapter one!! do you guys like it? i hope you do

We can just do our part just like everybody did their part in making everything become positive and hopeful again. And that's all we want to do, is inspire somebody to be who they wanna be and give them a little bit of hope.
