Elliot's POV

I still can't believe it.
I just saw what appears to be
'the man of my dreams'.

I'm panicking. The tears are running down my cheeks uncontrollably.
I am overwhelmed to the max.

What the hell is happening?
Who is this guy?
Why does he keep appearing in my dreams one way or another?
Or is all of this just
one big coincidence?
But what are the chances?

I try to calm down.
Breathe.
Close my eyes.

The door swings open.
It's Leon and Shayla.
"Elliot!" Shayla says with
a confused look on her face.
Leon doesn't say anything.
He just looks confused too.
They both run to me.
Shayla kneels down to my left,
Leon does the same to my right.
"What's wrong, cuz?" Leon asks.
I wipe the tears away.
I calm down after a little while.
I turn to Shayla.
"C-can we go to the garden?"
Leon looks confused.
"You mean the
seventh-grade-project?"
I nod fast. That's a place
where I feel safe.
"Of course, let's go!"
Shayla says as we all get up and go.

We arrive.
Shayla unlocks the door
and we all go in.
I sit down under the tree immediately.
Shayla explains this place to Leon.
He probably forgot about it over the years. "So Elliot... What happened back there?" Leon asks. I'm fairly calm now. I think I'm ready to explain.

"U-uh... This will sound batshit-crazy, but...." Now I'm too embarrassed to say it. They will think I'm crazy. A freak. "It's okay, we don't judge" Shayla says. I'm not going to lie, she really calms me down too.

"I.... I think I have dreamed of Tyrell before.... Even though I never met him..."

Silence. They don't know what I'm talking about. They're confused.

"Wow, um..."
They look down.
They probably don't know what to think. But who am I to judge?
"What do you mean, 'you dreamed of Tyrell'?" Leon asks in a serious tone.
"Try to break it down, so I can understand it too" Shayla says, looking at me.
"The first dream I had didn't include the colour green at all.
Next day I come to school and get the colouring set where the green is missing."
"Huh, that's weird.." Leon says.
"It gets better; I was holding someone's hand and only noticed that they were wearing a button-up shirt. In the next dream the green was missing again, but this time it was replaced with indigo-blue."
"Like Tyrell's tie!" Shayla exclaims.
"Exactly!"
"Holy shit, dude..." Leon says, with a questioning undertone.
"B-But what are the chances of that happening?"
"I don't know..."
I feel drained. I can barely move.
"What should I do?" I ask as I switch looks between them.
"I think you should talk to him!"
"No!"
I sit up straight, trying to express fear.
"Well, maybe not now," she corrects herself, "but you definitely should.
I think he has to know one day."
"But why...?"
"How many people d'you think dream of you, cuz?"
I look at Leon with a scared and confused face.
"What do you mean?"
"Maybe there are people out there havin' the same experience as you right now, even though they don't know you exist at all."
"Wow, didn't know you were into all of that dream stuff" Shayla chuckles.
"Do you know what it could mean?"
I listen intensely.
"Uh, it could mean you'n'Tyrell are...
Soulmates or somethin' like that."

Soulmates?
I never thought of it like that.
I mean how would I know?
I can't live from little hints,
I need clear answers.
"What makes you think that?"
Leon shrugs.
"I don't know, seems legit to me.."
"But why?"
I honestly don't want to believe the 'soulmate' thing. But on the other hand I can't think of another explanation for this.
"Maybe Shayla can come over too and we can talk 'bout it later"
Leon suggests.
I nod.
"We should get back to class before it's too late."
Shayla and Leon both nod in agreement.

We all get up and go.
