1. Bonjour. = Good morning.

If you find yourself in Paris it is always polite to say "Hi" every morning because French speakers are really sociable. "Good morning" in French is "Bonjour".

2. Bonne après-midi. = Good afternoon.

But what if it's later in the day and you want to say "good afternoon" Well, in French is "Bonne après-midi".

3.Je suis ravi de vous rencontrer. = I'm pleased to meet you./ Its a pleasure to meet you/ Nice to meet you

Now that you have introduced yourself, a French speaker would respond "Je suis ravie de vous rencontrer" or "Enchantée" which means "It's a pleasure to meet you" in French.

4. Je m'appelle ( Maiwenn ). = My name is ( Maiwenn ).

Let's say your name is Maiwenn , you are traveling to France and meet someone on the street. To introduce yourself you can say "Je m'appelle Maiwenn " which means "My name is Maiwenn " in French.

5. Comment ça va ? = How are you?

At this point it might be polite to ask the person you are having a conversation with "Comment ça va?" in French.
Its really easy to pronounce!

6. Où es-tu ? = Where are you?

French speakers are known to be really friendly, so it wouldn't be unusual to make a French friend during your travels. But friends are sometimes late to meetings in which case you might have to call them and ask "Where are you?" in French.

7. Je suis désolé = Im sorry
"Je suis désolé" which means " I'm sorry" in French

8. A bientôt ! = See you soon!

This is a good way of saying "See you soon" in French= A bientôt ! you are probably going to see the next day.

9. Merci! = Thank you

10. Oui! = Yes!

11. Non! = No!

12. Au revoir ! . = Good-bye.
Let's end with the best way to end a pleasant conversation politely. This is another way of saying "Goodbye" in French.
