Ps: when it comes to weather, you don't say "il est..." ("it is...") but rather "il fait..." ("it makes / does")!
Let's do it !
•It's raining : il pleut [ ile pleu]
•It's windy: il y a du vent [ ile i-a du ven] we don't hear the {t}
• it's snowing (a lot ) : il neige (beaucoup) [ile naijeu (bocou)]
•it's foggy : il y a du brouillard [ ile i-a du brouyar]
•it's cold : il fait froid [ile fai froi]
•it's hot ( today) : il fait chaud ( aujourd'hui) [ile fai cho ( ojourdui)
•It's a nice day ! : c'est une bonne journée [ssé t-une boneu journai]
•the storm : l'orage [laurajeu]
•hail: la grêle [la graileu]
Expression for : IT'S RAINING CATS AND DOGS
We used to say : il pleut des cordes [ ile pleu dé {ai} kordeu]
it means in English : it's raining ropes
