I wake up panting from a terrible nightmare that seemed harshly real. Today is the day that I have to face going into highschool for the first time. As usual, there will be those people who just put an ache in my soul. I know for a fact that I will have to put up with them this year.
I get up out of my plump bed and make my way to the shower and turn the hot water on. I get undressed as steam feels the room. I ease into the shower as it burns my skin. I literally stand there for so long that I begin to shrivel like a prune. I stand and think of what I will wear as I let the water rain down on me. I grab the shampoo and wash my hair thoroughly. Then, I use my vanilla bean body wash to wash my body. I tand there for a little while longer ingulfed in heat as the water rains down once again. I turn off the water and grab a nearby towel and dry off. I grab my robe and step out of the shower. I turn to the faucet. I wash my face softly and rinse it. I dab it with a hand towel slightly to soak up the leftover water.
I look in the mirror and see a scared little freshman. I brush my long luscious hair that comes to the center of my back. I brush my straight teeth that had braces for three years. Finally, I rinse out my mouth with listerine.
I rushed out of the bathroom and threw on my clothes. I decided to wear a floral dress that comes above the knee with my brown ankle boots.I run back into my bathroom and begin my hair and makeup. I apply foundation, powder, blush, and mascara. I fill in my eyebrows and pluck a few stray hairs. I curl my brown hair a sway my bangs back. I smile in the mirror. I even place my hand on my hip. It effects my appearance, just not my popularity.
I walk into the kitchen. The smell of bacon and pancakes fill the air as my younger brother smacks and syrup flys everywhere. For a thirteen year old, he is very immature. He needs to start acting his age. He can be cool at times i guess.
My mom fidgets around and begins her first day of school speech.
"Goodmorning, sweetheart." she said way to blissful.
"Goodmorning" I grunt.
"My baby is finally in high school." she said sniffing." Didnt I tell you to stop that growing?"
"Yea, and didnt I tell you to stop calling me baby?" I mumbled to myself.
"Hey just because your a freshman now doesnt mean you can use an attitude with me! I can still spank your bottom missy." she smarted off.
I rolled my eyes at her as I looked away. My younger brother looked over at me slowly. He looked at me from my feet and his eyes slowly worked their way up to my face.
"Sense when are you so hot?" he asked mockingly.
"Oh shut up, Tucker!" I said slapping him in the back of the head.
He looks over at me and gives me a look. He squints his eyes at me. Oh god here it comes.
"MOM! SAMANTHA HIT MY IN THE HEAD!" he screamed at the top of his lungs.
"Samantha we dont need to be hitting people in the head." she said giving me a look.
I grabbed a piece of bacon and started to walk to the door. Mom called me from behind.
"Are you going to ride the bus? she questioned as she put her hands on her hips.
I nodded my head yes. She grabbed the keys to the camaro and started walking towards the door.
"Your not riding that raunchy bus! Theres all kinds of things that happen on those funky buses!" she mocked and laughed. My mom was that mom that refered everything to be 'raunchy' or 'disrespectful'. Mom was the kind of mom who would get up at six o' clock in the morning and pamper herself for no reason. She is just mom, poor ole' single mom.
