3:38 pm

I was sitting at my desk editing a try not to laugh video for the Smosh Pit channel. Watching the constant giggles and bits that the team put on. To be honest with you, I hate editing these videos. Some people think that they are super funny but I think that they are actually quite dry and kind of annoying. The good thing about them is that they are super easy to edit. I was about halfway through editing the video when there was a knock on the wall. All the editors turned away from their screen and faced the doorway.

"Hey so we are filming some main channel videos and have some questions about camera angles and stuff for editing purposes and Damien said that we should ask you," Shayne announced to the room, causing my heart to flutter at the mention of Damien's name.

"Yeah okay, I can help with that I guess," Liam said looking around the room and taking initiative.

"Actually, he asked specifically for Y/N..." Shayne stopped Liam, looking towards me.

All eyes in the room were facing me now, a slight blush being brought to my cheeks.

Why would he want me to help? I mean I am an editor but I am no camera junkie. The person you would want for this kind of job would be Liam oddly enough. He has the most experience with the camera because he was a cameraman for a short period of time before he became an editor, and Damien knew that. I told him when I was giving him a rundown of the editors one day at lunch.

"Umm... okay..." I stammered as I stood up and headed towards Shayne.

We walked in silence as we made our way to the filming location, an odd tension between Shayne and me. When we got to where we needed to go, Shayne took me to Damien.

"Hey!" Damien greeted me as he headed to the camera that they were having questions about, and I followed.

"So what do you need my help with?" I asked.

I just want to get this over with. Damien and I agreed to try and make it like nothing has changed between the two of us at the office. We don't want rumors to start spreading while we figure out what is going on between us. Plus, I don't want Wes to feel uncomfortable and, I don't want to get caught up in all that drama.

"Yeah, so we are trying to figure out where to angle it to get the best possible shot in the final edit," Damien explained, pointing to the camera in question.

"Well, it depends on the kind of video that you are filming. If it needs more of your guys' faces in the shot then angle so the tabletop is showing, but if it needs more of the hands playing the game then angle it just above the tabletop so that the smallest amount of the table is showing. That way the focus is more on the game and not on your shenanigans." I explained with a joke at the end.

"Sounds good. Thank you. Maybe next video, you will be on the other side of the camera." Damien chucked at the thought of me being in a video.

"No way in hell am I going to be in a video." I chuckled back.

Damien and I said our goodbyes and I headed back to the editors' office. When I got back, I was attacked by questions:

"Why did Damien want you to go?"

"How did it go? I bet it was nothing, just some stupid ploy to distract us."

"You and Damien have been spending more time together...is there something going on between the two of you?"

"Oooooh, that is a good point, Jenny. Sooo, is there something going on between you guys?"

I stopped and tried to comprehend the words that were being said.
