At the Northside College Preparatory on Kedzie in Chicago, where Energy Dance Competition was going to be held at, the bus was seen arriving at the venue, usually when competitions are in Chicago or near Chicago, the Abby Lee Dance Company would drive in their respective cars since they're from Niles and it's not far from Chicago, but they'd also ride the bus there and getting off the bus was Abby, Cameron, Julie, Gianna, the girls and moms and noticeably, Kelly, Brooke and Paige were not there.

"Let's do it." Abby told everybody as they entered the venue, got checked in and walked to one of the dressing rooms that was in a classroom like whenever a competition is being held at a school. The girls began to get ready and Cameron came in.

"Mom, i got word that Paige is gonna be on in 20 minutes and she isn't in here and what that means is that she's obviously not ready and i couldn't find her anywhere." Cameron informed Abby, who groaned in frustration.

"Where could they be?" Julie wondered.

"You tell us, because we don't know." Abby responded.

"I tried calling Kelly, but no answer." Christi added.

"Me too." Gianna stated.

"Hopefully, they're ok." Chloe said.

"I know they are." Maddie told her friend as Abby smiled at the support, even though Maddie and Chloe were the two favorites of the studio and had a rivalry, it was a friendly rivalry.

"Paige should be in here warming up and preparing so she can be ready to go on stage." Julie commented, then Melissa took Maddie outside and talked with her. She convinced her older daughter to let Abby, Cameron, Gianna and Julie know that she really wanted to do her solo and they went back into the dressing room.

"Miss Abby, can you and Cameron come into the hall with me?" Maddie asked.

"Sure." Abby stated as she and Cameron went into the hallway to talk to Maddie and even with them was Julie.

"What's going on, Maddie?" Cameron wondered.

"I want to do my solo." Maddie said.

"Maddie, are you sure and are you ready?" Julie asked. "Can you beat everyone."

"I think." Maddie commented.

"From the way you're looking, we don't think that you are, you're like "Yes, i think, yes". If you don't want to do it, then you don't have to do it." Cameron stated.

"I want to do it."

"We think you're acting like someone is making you do it." Julie commented. "We see the look on your face, that's not the game face and the Maddie face we know and i haven't seen that Maddie face since me and my family moved to New Lenox. Abby told me that you always jump and warm up and trying to psyche other dancers out."

"Should you go out there with that face, let's just say your mother may throw down on you and i think you don't want to dance cause you think she's gonna throw down on you." Cameron added as Melissa and Mackenzie approached.

"She wants to dance, she's only afraid of you." Melissa said.

"Don't speak for her." Abby told Melissa.

"Mom, i can handle this." Maddie assured Melissa.

"Melissa, it's not your decision, it s Maddie's decision." Julie said, then she saw tears come down Maddie's face. "Maddie, we love you and all, but stop with the tears."

"We know you're a confident person, do you get that memo?" Cameron asked.

"Yes." Maddie answered.
