The Adopted Son of Abby Lee (Dance Moms Fic)

Chapter 19: An Off Day in L.A.

That monday, it was an off day from rehearsals for the Abby Lee Dance Company and Kelly said she was busy with something, but actually stayed at the hotel and Brooke and Paige went with Abby and Cameron while Chloe, Maddie and Mackenzie were with Melissa and Christi, Nia and Kendall were with Julie, Gianna and Holly. Abby, Cameron, Brooke and Paige were all at Mel's Diner enjoying their lunch and while eating, Abby and her son noticed Brooke and Paige were looking like they were staring into space.

"Brooke, Paige, is everything ok?" Cameron wondered.

"Recently, we've been noticing that our mom may be growing distant towards us." Paige admitted. "When i went to the doctor for my broken foot, she didn't take me and when Brooke's back was hurting her, she stayed in her chair, didn't come to see if she was ok, but everybody else came to see if she was ok. She's been paying more attention to our brother, Josh."

"We've seen the signs, to be honest with you." Abby admitted.

"Yeah." Cameron stated.

"Cam, you and your mother have been family to use more than our own." Brooke told Cameron.

"What she said." Paige added.

"Hey, i consider you my daughters and Cameron considers you his sisters like with the other girls and You can always stay with me if that continues." Abby offered.

"Thanks, Miss Abby." Brooke and Paige both said.

"You're welcome."

"Maybe when we're done, we can swing by Hollywood and Highland." Cameron suggested.

"Sounds like a good idea." Abby stated. "Brooke, Paige, what do you think?"

"Let's do it when we're done eating." Brooke commented and once they completed their meal, Abby and Cameron paid the bill and the four went to the outdoor mall and Brooke and Paige felt happy being with their dance teacher and Cameron as they shopped.

"This is a great mall." Paige commented.

"Yeah, maybe another time we come to L.A., we can stop by the grove, Beverly Center or even Santa Monica Place in Santa Monica." Cameon stated.

"We can do that." Abby said.

"Paige, Brooke, one time mom took me on the LACMTA's red line train and we got off at Pershing Square and that's where a scene in the movie Speed was filmed."

"Cool fact." Brooke stated.

Meanwhile, at the Santa Monica Pier, which is a pier that has rides and games, Chloe, Maddie, Mackenzie, Christi and Melissa were all enjoying themselves as they got off the ferris wheel.

"That was a fun ferris wheel, like the one at Navy Pier back home in Chicago." Chloe said.

"Yeah." Mackenzie agreed.

"The one at Navy Pier is bigger than this one." Maddie stated.

"She's right about that." Melissa commented.

"Yeah and Abby used to bring Cameron here and frequently, Julie, Sebastian and Meredith along too." Christi said.

"I bet they had a lot of fun."

"They did and Cameron frequently won at Skee-ball and i bet he had a lot of practice."

"Yes he did and we've seen that a lot of times." Maddie told them.

"Once this season is over, what's next before the next season starts this upcoming october?" Chloe asked.

"Well, after Nationals, we'll be heading to an award show this sunday and we'll all fly back to Chicago, but Abby and Cameron are gonna stay to film a new show called "Abby's Ulimate Dance Competition" and they want you and Maddie to appear in an episode." Christi amswered.

"But we'll have to deal with Cathy's numbskullness again next season." Mackenzie added.

"That's true." Melissa stated. "But we'll find ways to beat her and those apples.

"What she said." Christi said.

At the Beverly Center, a mall in Los Angeles that has been around since 1982, Nia, Kendall, Holly, Jill, Gianna and Julie were seen riding the escalator and once they reached the third level, they looked at some shops.

"This is an impressive mall." Kendall stated.

"Yeah." Nia commented.

"I've been coming here since i was little, whenever we got a chance, Abby would bring me, mom, Cameron, Sebastian and even Gia here at times." Julie stated.

"Yeah." Gianna added.

"Do you think they'll have something that i can get Abby so Kendall can have a solo?" Jill joked.

"Jill!" Gianna, Julie, Holly and Nia exclaimed.

"Mom, really?" Kendall raised her eyebrow.

"Just asking."

"Does she always do that?" Julie asked Gianna.

"Yeah." Gianna answered as they shopped.

Meanwhile in Cameron's hotel room, Abby was visiting and they were enjoying the night, then he got a text, he and his mother both looked at the text and that made their eyes go wider than saucers, they could not believe who sent Cameron the text.
