New Girl

Chapter 1: Moving

(Natalie's p.o.v)

It's the summer before my sophomore year when my parents tell me we're moving. "Seriously?!" I groan.

"Yes sweetie your father got a new job so we have to move." Mom answers. "Where do we have to go this time." I rolled my eyes. We already moved 4 times. "Lima, Ohio."

I run up to my room and slam the door. Where the heck is Lima? I call my best friend Riley and tell her the news. "You're moving?!" she yells through the phone. "Yeah but don't worry we'll still talk every week." We continue talking for a long time. Eventually we hang up and my mom comes in my room.

"I know it's hard sweetie, but we will get through this together. Goodnight." She kisses me on the cheek then leaves.

I sigh into my pillow before falling into a deep sleep.

One week later (Natalie's p.o.v)

I walk down the halls of my new school, William McKinley High. It's the second day of school and no one seems to notice me. I quickly make my way to my locker. As I get it open, I look to the locker next to me and see a cute boy with brown hair, breathtaking hazel eyes, and his hair gelled. He looks at me and smiles before heading off to his next class. I smile silently to myself, glad someone finally noticed me, as I walk to my next class, Language Arts.

After what seems likes hours, I finally leave my class and head to my locker, ready for lunch. I walk into the cafeteria and notice that everyone is split into groups: the Cheerios, Jocks, Nerds and other groups of friends. I make my way to an empty table and sit by myself again. I miss sitting with my old friends, Riley, Emily, Josie and Autumn. "Hey there. Is this seat taken?" I jump, startled by the voice and whip around to see the boy with the gorgeous hazel eyes. "Um no, I mean yes, well actually... um." I take a deep breath, embarrassed and start again. "I mean, no it's not." I finally choke out. The boy smiles at me before sitting down with his lunch tray. We sit there in silence before he finally says "My names Blaine. Blaine Anderson."
