Chapter 15: Prom Night

(Natalie's p.o.v)
I look in the mirror one last time and smooth down my dress before turning away.
Tonight's the night. The night I've been waiting for and I get to spend it with the people I love.
I hear the doorbell ring so I practically jump down the stairs and throw the door open.
"Riley! Emily!" I shout. I invite them inside. Even though it's my schools dance, I was allowed to invite my friends too. Okay I'm not exactly sure that I'm allowed to but I did anyway.
"Your dresses are beautiful." I tell them. Riley spins around. "Thank you." Riley and Emily answer at the same time. We all start laughing.
At that moment, my mom comes down the stairs. "Wow girls! You look gorgeous." she says. "Thanks mom." I answer.
We stand together while she takes our picture. The doorbell rings again and when I open it, it's none other than Tyler. "Wow." he whispers. "You look amazing." I blush. "Thanks. And you look very handsome." I say.
I take him inside and my mom takes more pictures. Finally, it's time to go. "Bye mom!" I shout. "Bye sweetie! Stay safe!" she answers.
Riley, Emily, Tyler and I get into my car.
When we arrive, we go straight to the gym. We walk in and there are balloons and streamers everywhere. Suddenly, Blaine comes over out of nowhere and hugs me.
"Hey there." he says. "Hi Blaine." I answer. Kurt runs over too. He jumps on me and shouts in my ear because the music is getting too loud. "HI NATALIE." he shouts. I wince. "Geez Kurt. No need to scream." Kurt apologizes and shrugs.
Riley and Emily walk over. "Oh." I say. "Blaine, Kurt, this is Emily." They wave and say hi. "Also, Riley is here too."
Kurt greets Riley enthusiastically while Blaine narrows his eyes at her.
"Calm yourself, Blainey." I say. He quickly looks away and turns his attention to the floor. Kurt notices how uncomfortable Blaine looks and says bye to Riley. "I'll talk to you later." he says.
Kurt grabs Blaine's hand and pulls him away to dance. Riley walks away with her date, Chris, and Emily walks away with hers.
I turn to go find Tyler but spot him right away talking to Finn and Sam. I walk up behind him and wrap my arms around his waist. He turns around and smiles at me. Sam smiles at us before leaving to dance with Mercedes.
Someone taps me on the shoulder and i whip around to see Rachel. "Hey Rachel!" I greet. "Hi. Well I just wanted to say hello. I'm off dancing with Finn. Bye!" Rachel quickly says before leaving.
I drag Tyler on the dance floor and we start to dance. We dance for a long time before a slow song comes on. He puts his hands on my hips and I put my hands on his shoulders. I rest my head on him while we dance.
"I love you." he whispers into my ear. My breathing almost stops. It's the first time he's ever said that to me. "I-I love you too." I whisper back. We continue dancing.
I look over his shoulder and see Kurt and Blaine. I smile at Kurt when he sees me. He smiles back and rubs Blaine's back.
Santana and Brittany are also nearby, dancing way faster than everyone else. I laugh at how weird it looks.
The song changes and a faster one comes on. Sam starts doing body rolls and I chuckle at him.
"Come on." Tyler says. He pulls me over to get our prom photo taken. I stretch my arms out titanic style and he puts his arms out by me, pretending to keep me from falling.
I laugh as the photo is taken. He kisses my cheek and the photographer takes another one.
I run over to all of my friends while pulling Tyler along. Kurt, Blaine, Tyler, Riley, Emily, Mercedes, Sam and I all dance in a group. We jump around crazily and do strange dances to make each other laugh.
A little bit later, the whole group gets their photo taken together. "Let's take a picture together." Blaine says to me.
We dance on the way over. Blaine picks me up bridal style and I throw my arm up and smile really wide.
Kurt comes over and we all strike a random pose as the camera snaps. I laugh and we go back to our group.
"Attention students." Principal Figgins says into the mic. "Prom is over. Please go home."
The students slowly shuffle out. Tyler grabs my hand and we leave together. We arrive at my car and Emily and Riley meet us there. I drive us back and Riley and Emily hug me. "Bye Natalie." Riley says. "Thanks for inviting us."
"Bye guys. It was fun." I say. After they leave, Tyler hugs me. "Tonight was perfect." I say. "It was." he responds. He leans in and kisses me. When he pulls away, he waves and drives away in his car. Wow. I slowly shuffle inside and sit on the couch. I just sit there grinning for who knows how long. I eventually fall asleep, thinking of prom.

That was my prom chapter. I honestly don't like it but that's all I came up with. Well now I'm off to read some klaine fanfiction.
