New Girl

Chapter 17: Movie

(Natalie's p.o.v)
I walk into the noisy choir room and find my seat. The club is full of energy and they are all messing around before the bell rings. Finn and Puck were crazily playing the drums, Blaine and Rachel were talking animatedly, and Mike and Tina were chasing each other around the room.

"Okay, okay. Settle down everyone." Mr. Schue says, walking in. "We need to prepare for... Sectionals!" he shouts excitedly. The club cheers.

"I've decided on a duet featuring Natalie and Blaine, a solo for Rachel, and maybe a song featuring Quinn?" Mr. Schue says. "Just for something new."

Quinn grinned at him. "Absolutely." she states. "Good. I'll let you guys choose a song." Mr. Schue tells us. The bell rings and we all get up to leave.

"So. What song do you want to sing?" Blaine asks me at lunch. "I have no clue." I respond. "What song are you singing Rachel?" I ask.

Rachel pauses for a moment, looking thoughtful. "Oh. I have something in mind." she smirks. "So you won't tell us?" I whine. "Nope. It's a secret." she laughs before getting up to throw the rest of her lunch away.

"Hey guys I have an idea. We should all go to a movie this weekend." Tina suggests. Blaine nods. "That would be fun. What do you guys think?"

"I'll go." I answer. Kurt, Mercedes, Mike and Rachel agree to go also. "Great. What movie?" Tina asks.

"How about Mockingjay?" I suggest. "Yes!" Kurt shouts. "Okay. It's settled." Blaine says.

The credits roll and the lights go up, but no one moves. They just sit there in a trance. "Whoa." Rachel says. "Wanky." Santana smirks.

"That. Was. Awesome!" Mercedes shouts excitedly. I turn to look at Kurt, who is staring at the screen, waiting for more. "Kurt. It's over." I nudge him.

Mockingjay just ended and we all seem to agree that it was amazing. An employee comes in the theater to tell us to leave. "Movies over." he says in a bored tone, like he's used to people sitting there longer than they're supposed to.

The club slowly stands up. Blaine grabs Kurt's hand and pulls him along. Mercedes walks out smiling really wide. I follow close behind.

When we are out of the building, we all stop and just stare at each other. Rachel starts squealing and soon everyone joins in, jumping up and down.

After we settle down, the club moves to leave. "Bye Natalie!" Rachel shouts. "Yeah. Bye Natalie!" Tina repeats.

"Bye guys." I grin. Blaine and Kurt give me a hug and Santana comes over and pats my shoulder. "You know, when you first showed up here I said to myself, wow. What does that chick think she's doing? She's a freak. So I immediately hated you and your ugly clothing."

"Um okay.." I say.

"But I must admit, you're actually an okay person." she cuts in. I grin at her. "Thanks Santana."

She coughs. "Look, I'm gonna leave now because now you think I'm a generally nice person."

I laugh as she walks away.

I finally have a nice group of friends that I never expected to have when I moved here. This year is going to be great.

End of chapter 17. This is kind of a random chapter but I decided I needed to write something. Also, I wanted to put something between sectionals. So yeah. Next chapter is sectionals! Thank you so much for 202 reads!
