She played in the sand drawing the sea waves. Mom was too busy to look after her at the moment, so she had to look after herself for now. The sun beat down on her small back, but she was ignorant of it upon finding a small creature that had many legs. Tires rumbled and the girl thought that Dad must be back. She stood up abandoning her new friend hoping to see her dad and get a hug. The trucks were different than before, and the girl stood there confused wondering why they changed it.

"Run! The rebels are here!" Someone shouted and she ran as fast as she could looking for her mom. Dad told her to look for mom when someone said rebels and he wasn't there.

"Mom! MOM!" She rounded the corner and ran into a man in camoflouage clothing.

"This way to the shelter little girl!" The soldier pushed her the other way. She looked back at the tent where her mom was supposed to be helping the sick.

"My mom's back there!" She shouted pulling on the soldiers hand. He stopped and looked at the tent.

"Go I'll find her!" He shouted back turning back.

She ran glancing back. The soldier made his way to the tent, but he was shot brutally. His lifeless eyes watched her as he fell. She screamed and ran faster sobbing.

The tent was there the shelter, but someone grabbed her from behind. She screamed again clawing at her capturer.

"Oh you're feisty aren't you?" A man with missing teeth smiled at her widely.

"You're coming with me!" He hefted her over her shoulder and she screamed banging her fists on his back.

"Let me go! MOM! DAD!" she shouted reaching for the tent that was helplessly out of her grasp.

"Shut up!" The man hit her on the head and stars burst in her vision.

"Mom!" She yelled weakly one more time before darkness took over.
