Reincarnated as A Boy?!

part 5

I had probably been petting dark for over an hour now and yes I named him dark because of his black fur. I still had to report to the king in the morning and I had to "tame" dark which is something I'm against but I'll have to do it. Taming is basically putting a slave collar on the animal or human and it'll have to obey every order or the collar will relase a shock wave. I'm truly against it because it's just cruel... well right now I'm on my way to meet the king and a slave merchant with dark beside me. He hasn't left me alone ever since I pet him like no tomorrow hehe I probably shouldn't have touched a wild animal to begin with... this world feels so much like a game I almost tought that it was.

As soon as I arrived in front of the huge door the guards that were there opened the door to reveal an impatient king and the slave merchant along with 40 maids and 2 slave girls that accompanied the fat man. There were also guards but they just blended in as the ones inside the kings throne room were the "shadows". Felix or whatever his name was had explained it to me after walking me my room for the first time. There were other times when I got lost but those times were just him ranting on about his workload and telling me different paths or parts of the castle that lead to my room. That just confused me more to be honest.
While my mind was occupied with these thoughts the king cleared his throat and told the merchant to do his thing... Well I guess someone's grumpy today aren't they.
The merchant slowly approached us and wow how surprising Dark growled at him. The merchant was visibly shaken up and probably terrified. It looked like he was gonna piss his pants and during this I was just trying to contain a poker face. If only he knew how much of a fluff Dark was. Oh he was still growling but he was sitting next to me so I reached up and just gave a gentle slap on his nose to stop him. He gave a weak whine as he put his paw on his nose. He was just a huge puppy HOW CAN YOU BE SCARED OF HIM?!?
I could hear the king tapping his thrones arm rest so I gave the merchant a poke. He immediately got on his feet and handed me an iron thick collar that had a circle on the front to probably chain him up which I'll never do to a cute fluffy boy like him.

"Sir Taru, you need to put that on your wolf to make it easier to control it."

I just nodded my head and turned towards dark. He was still laying down so that made it easier. I called at him letting him smell the collar. I think he knew what it was. After smelling it I opened the top of it and he just placed his neck into it. It was like he was accepting me and it honestly made my heart melt.
TOO CUTE I couldn't help it right after I closed the collar I just jumped on his soft silky fur and once again started petting him. Only this time in the presence of the slave merchant and the king himself who was seemingly giving me a suprised gaze as I was only a bit with the body of a five year old. Even though my size was bigger than normal five year olds I was still small next to Dark and I came to the kings elbow if we were standing side to side. I guess I'm also pretty well built and have lean, muscular body. Well that of a five year olds. The king said he'd start the training next week to give me some time to settle in but I don't really believe him in anyway it's probable that he'll do something like this again to "test" me. The merchant got what looked like a book from one of the slaves and started casting. Once he was finished the collar disappeared into a mark on his paw which looks like a tattoo of a dragon sort of.

"It's almost done Sir Taru just one last thing.." the slave merchant said while still uneasily on edge

"And that is?"

"You have to give it a name."

"Oh? That I have already done. His name shall be known as Dark"

And with that the merchant started casting again but this time it didnt last as long as last time.
Once he was done the king ordered everyone out of the room to 'have a chat' and I was worried that I had done something wrong honestly. Maybe because I had disobeyed in not killing Dark..?
