Looking up from the piece of paper, Safiyyah let out a sigh.

She looks up, towards the window where the paper fell from and sees a pair of eyes staring back at her but it was too dark to make out who it was.

She glanced down at the paper and then up again, but this time the person was not there anymore.

She gasps lightly, was she imagining things?

Something really was wrong with her.

But who could blame her?

Standing here alone in a dark, deserted alley; her imagination was bound to run wild.

Her father's words echoed in her mind; never go to an odd place at an odd time.

And she was doing just the opposite. Safiyyah thought of leaving the paper there.

It wasn't hers but the quote was too good to be left on the ground, just for people to step on it and so she decided to keep it with her.

She started walking faster than her usual pace due to the anxiety of her being alone in such a sketchy place.

She had absolutely no explanation on what she was doing here.

Of course she had gone to visit the Faruki's, to check on Fahd but tonight she had taken a different path thinking she'd reach faster.

God knows what was on with her and why she didn't go with her usual path.

She calmed down a bit as she saw her college ahead of her.

Slipping past the security guards won't be a big deal, they're usually asleep but if a warden catches her she would be in great trouble.

As expected, the guard asleep on his chair when she reached the main gate.

Thankfully the huge metal gate was open.

She quickly went in and walked over to the girl's dormitory.

Upon entering, she could hear her own footsteps, echoing on the marble floor.

She went in room, the lights were switched off inside.

Her hands wandered along the wall to find the switch; when they did, she switched on the light.

She turned around to see her bed with a smile.

Finally, today had been a long day for her.
