It was an awkward car ride to Juliana’s house. Wilson and I tried to break the tension and awkwardness a few times, but we gave up half way to Juliana’s house.

“We’re here.” Wilson said as he got out of the car.

We walk up to Juliana’s house to ring the doorbell.

“Something feels not right.” I said to Wilson. We waited for a few more minutes.

“She isn’t coming…” Wilson finally said.

“We have a search warrant, let’s go in.” I said taking out a paper clip.

“Girl, you aren’t supposed to break into peoples’ house.” Wilson said looking at me with an amused look.

“Sure sure whatever.” I mumbled. The lock clicked a few times and the door was unlocked.

Once we were in the house we started to search around. I checked the second floor while Wilson checked the first. In the end we checked the basement together because it was the biggest part of the house.

I was searching the south side of the house when I saw a foot sticking out of the corner of a closet.

“Wilson! Come here!” I called as I put on a pair of latex gloves.

“What?” he said as he put on a pair of latex gloves too.

“That.” I said pointing to the foot.

We got closer and Wilson opened the door a little bit more. The body fell out to show a young woman in her twenties with her throat cut open and her shirt stained with blood.

“Oh…” I said with a small gasp.

“We better call them over.” He said pulling out his phone.

Just as someone said ‘hello’, Wilson was knocked to the ground by a metal baseball bat. He crumpled to the ground right before I was knocked out.
