~Wilson’s POV~
After hours of a wild goose chase, we finally caught him. Mason West, the man who put the bomb on Fiara. The man who had forced Cecelia into killing her fiancé and future father in law. The greedy man who used his sister like she was just another part of his property.
“Get out of the car!” Hanna yelled from the other side of the SUV.
Mason got out slowly with a smug look on his face.
“Put your hands on your head!” Madison ordered again.
He put it on his head and got on his knees.
Something wasn’t right…
As Hanna and the other cops got closer to Mason, I heard a faint ticking sound.
“Everyone back up!” I ordered.
They looked at me as if I was crazy. I would be looking that way too if I didn’t know what was happening, but I did. Madison looked at me confused.
“There is a bomb!” I yelled.
This time, everyone ran from the pick-up truck back to the cop cars parked near it. Madison and I ducked down just as the bomb exploded and all hell broke loose.
Cars, metal, parts of what used to be a person, it all went flying. It was a rain of blood and guts. The crackle of fire burning away at metal and the plopping sound as small pieces of guts fell to the floor.
Madison and I got up to see that what used to be Mason was everywhere. The only trace left was a small burn mark on where he was standing before he blew himself up. The selfish man killed himself in a selfish way, to end his misery and his misery alone. Several police officers were severely injured; luckily they were able to make it that afternoon.
Back at the police station, Cecelia West was found guilty in the murder of Ivan Wills and Dave Wills.
