Protector (Nalu)

Part 2

-Natsu-

"Happy, did you hear that?"

I called the little blue cat that was lazily laying on my head

"Hear what? Natttssuu we just got back to Magnolia, I was some fish! Lets find Luce"

I rolled my eyes and smiled, thinking of how happy she'd be to see me again, I heard of her growing popularity, I had missed her a lot

"I just thought I heard screams, anyway. Go to her place and surprise her, I'll go to the store and get food!"

He happily flew off of my head and this time, I knew what I heard

"Natsu!"

I looked around, for certain I had heard Lucy scream for me, the pain in her voice making my blood boil, then I heard something slam into something and break, then more screaming and I rushed to the place it came from. I climbed through a window to see Luce, laying on her side in bra and panties, I was angry with the blood on her as my was holding them at a safe distance I took off my vest and put it around her, telling her I needed to finish here, and I did. Once I was finished I turned to see her passed out and covered in blood, so I rushed her to her apartment and laid her on the couch, seeing a worried happy fly in

"Natsu- Luce!"

I hushed him and caught him up on what happened, the cat just cried while I washed the blood off her. There was a small cut on her neck that bled still but I patched it up, I looked at happy why was laying on the edge of the couch by her feet and I blushed, realizing she was still only really wearing my vest yet I let it slide, I'd seen all of her plenty of times. I brushed a strand of blonde hair away from her face while she slept and made sure she didn't wake up as I laid beside her. I smiled remembering all the times that we did this exact thing before, I knew about the guild but I also had hope I could bong everyone together again, I shot up when I smelled something and looked around, fireball in hand until I saw Loke, or Leo

"You're back. What did you do with Lucy?!"

Sighing I could see he wasn't very happy with me or the state Lucy looked to be in

"Nothing, I found her getting beat up."

He looked at a sleepy Happy as the cat got up

"Natsu~ Oh Lokee"

His smile looked like he was going to fall right back asleep

"Is Luce doing better Natsu? She doesn't have blood on her"

Leo sighed behind us, I could never see his eyes behind his glasses but I didn't really care that much. He nodded and disappeared as I laid back down beside Luce, knowing the cat had already fallen back asleep.
