Protector (Nalu)

Part 3

-Lucy-

I woke up to a warmth all around me, when I opened my eyes I saw the familiar tan skin of a certain dragon slayer, I started to blush at how close we were and that I was in my bra and underwear still, his vest covering it though. I looked at his arm around my waist and the blush seemed to get darker. Natsu pulled me slightly closer and I ended up laying my head in the crook of his neck, feeling the warmth of him. I looked at his face and noticed a strand of that pink messy hair was out of place so I tried to fix it but he grabbed my hand, I looked at him and he eyes were slightly open, that's when I realized how close out faces were

"Luce..you're awake"

I smiled and hugged him, feeling the tears sting my eyes as I held them in

"Natsu...you're back..when..how?"

His stupid grin again

"I wanted to surprise you yesterday but heard your screaming...I saved you and..."

I noticed he was blushing

"Cleaned you up"

That's when the tears fell and I hugged him tighter, making him pull his arm from around the back of my head to my back where he puled me even closer and let me cry on him. When the tears finally stopped I wiped my eyes and realized my foot was warm, looking down I saw a blue cat, his little bag was on the floor and he was sleeping

"Luce.."

I hummed in response, relaxing in his arms

"You should shower..you smell like men"

I started laughing, he joined in. I missed his stupid and rude jokes most of all. Yet I still got up and went to my room, getting shorts and a tank top as usual and took a long shower, when I came back both Happy and Natsu were up and laughing, when they looked back at me they smiled and Happy flew over and hugged me, I pet him as I out my keys back on my hip like I usually did before and smiled.

"I have to work today..but when I come home I'll buy us dinner?"

It took a second to register the look on Natsu's face, almost like he was jealous? Nah...must be mad.

"I have a job Natsu, wipe that look off your face okay?"

He nodded and let me leave the house, the truth is I was shy being around him so suddenly.
