Protector (Nalu)

Part 6

-Erza-

I had met with Gray that day, he told me he had an announcement for Fairytail, I just had to go to the guildhall and I did, sooner or later everyone was showing up. I talked with them, they were sad still. As was I, then I saw Natsu and Lucy walk in, the familiar blond looked like she wasn't doing so good, but when I went to talk to her Juvia shook her head and stopped me. I nodded and watched her standing there, I knew that look well. Grays speech was most;y about bringing everyone back together.

"Mavis wants to bring fairytail back!"

I looked around to see smiled, until my eyes landed on Natsu and Lucy, he was holding her while she trembled, then she ran out of the guild hall, thats when I ran after her. She ended up by a grave, crying and on her knees. When I saw whos grave I sighed, knowing she must be having a very hard time.

"Lucy..."

I heard her crying

"E-Erza...I can't do this anymore! I.."

Thats where I had to draw the line, my friend was suffering and shouldn't be

"Lucy! You did not kill her okay?! She made the choice to take that hit for you, all of us are having a hard time so stop blaming yourself"

Her eyes were gleaming with tears as she nodded.

"Now...come back to the hall okay? I know it hurts now, but you will survive this now that we're here"

She looked at the grave before getting up and following me back, when we got back things were as they used be, all but one thing. I knew everyone could feel it, Gajeel looked up from his seat and Cana put her barrel of beer down and looked up at Lucy.

"Luce~"

Happy called and flew to her, followed by Wendy, Natsu, Gray, and Carla, they were all laughing and hugged her. I saw Gajeel smile but said nothing as I walked to him

"She blames herself"

He looked at his necklace

"I would too...But it couldn't be stopped, She made her won choice and thanks to it...Natsu realized his feelings, he thought it was his Lucy"

I smiled to myself, making sure they didn't notice it. My armor was lighter then I remembered when I moved

"Natsu was bound to know...he'll never say it though"

I saw the was Natsu was looking at Lucy in that moment, his eyes seemed to burn with a fire no one could see.
