I was now sitting on the floor, my back against the side of the stage as the boys were still busy with their band practice. Mary was sitting in a chair in the front row, cheering every time they finished a song.

I had snatched Freddie's bottle of vodka when he wasn't in the room and I cringed every time I got the courage to take a sip from it. I felt like absolute shit and I hadn't been able to face any of them after my little argument with Freddie in the back room.

"We can't slow down!" Roger yelled from the stage and I rolled my eyes as I prepared myself for their fifth argument of the night with a sip from the glass bottle.

Freddie laughed, thankful that he wasn't part of the argument this time, "Right, take two!" He yelled through his microphone.

"I'm trying to slow it a little down-" Brian started to explain before being cut off by Roger.

"Well, it doesn't need slowing down! It's- God, it's creeping at the moment!"

"Alright, try-" Freddie was trying to break them apart, but it was as if they couldn't even hear him.

"God, it was so slow!" Roger whined, "And it was only getting slower! You always try to play this like I've never-"

"Take two!" I could tell that Freddie was getting frustrated, even though he was laughing at them.

"You're playing the fucking twelve string." I nearly choked on my drink when I heard John cuss. That was probably the first time I've ever heard it.

"Take two." Freddie laughed again.

"Alright then! I'll follow you!" Roger finally gave up.

I snorted when I heard Brian making crying sounds to mock Roger for sulking when he didn't get his way.

"Right, take two." This time Freddie actually got his way as they started playing a song I've heard a few times by now.

'Keep Yourself Alive' was becoming a fan favourite, I've come to notice. Their crowds got extra loud every time they played this song.

I peaked around the corner and watched as Mary leaned back in her seat, filing her nails as she looked at the stage. She seemed pretty bored and for a moment, I considered getting up and sitting with her. I decided against it. I didn't feel like she liked me, at all.

I tried being friendly when she got here, but she simply ignored me and stuck to Freddie the entire time. I really wondered what the deal was with her and Fred's relationship. His songs made it sound like they were having a lot of problems, but around people, they seemed really happy.

He always held her hand and kissed her cheek, he even smiled whenever she said anything. Earlier I might've witnessed a slight, horrifying make out session between the two that made me want to dump Freddie's bottle of vodka into my eyes, but that happened before I had the courage to snatch the bottle.

I wondered if the boys knew where I was. They probably thought I'd left because I've been sitting here for a very long time and I was out of everyone's sight.

I can only imagine what was going through Roger's mind. I didn't get any chance to explain the situation Freddie and I were in when he walked in on us. I tried to explain myself, but Freddie came back to snatch him before I even muttered so much as one word.

"Thank you! Thank you, darlings!" Freddie called to his imaginary audience when they finished their song.

"I'm absolutely knackered. Can we take a break?" Roger sighed.
