Hello there. Remember me? A little explanation as to why I've been gone: I've just gone through a terrible, terrible time. I'm sorry for leaving you all for so long and I honestly didn't know if I'd ever update 'liar' again because I lost motivation in every single thing in my life, but, I remembered the night someone told me how much this story inspired them and how happy it made them and I realized how happy it made me too. This is lame, but I need this in my life. I need you guys, my biggest supporters that are rooting for this story. I'm sorry for leaving for so long. But I'm back. I promise. The walk down the hall of the recording studio seemed to be miles long as my hands grew sweaty, my heart nearly beating from my chest in anticipation and nervousness. Freddie was ready to talk, he was in an emotional state and he needed a friend, he needed me.
Every second seemed to stand still as my legs traveled at an extremely slow pace. I wasn't ready to see what was on the other side of the door I was now standing in front of. My entire body had been aching to know what the situation was that kept Freddie up at night, and here I was, minutes, maybe even seconds away from finding out.
My palms pressed flat against the door as I slowly pushed it open to reveal a dimly lit room. A small lamp on the control table was on and it took me a few seconds before I spotted Freddie.
He was sitting in the corner of the small room, his knees pulled to his chest as a bottle of brown liquor loosely hung from his hand, his red and puffy cheeks buried into his knees.
"Freddie."
He raised his head slowly, the light making his face visible as a frown plastered over his forehead that was covered by messy hair. His eyes and cheeks stained with tears as he brought the bottle up to his lips. I watched the liquid pour from the sides of his mouth, staining his light blue t-shirt as he pressed himself up against the wall, stumbling forward in an attempt to meet me as I entered the room slowly.
"Clarissa, oh Clara." His voice broke as the bottle got placed down on the table before he took a step towards me.
"What happened? Tell me what happened." I kept my voice hushed as his breathing increased dramatically, his feet stumbling over each other as he started pacing in an attempt to gather his thoughts and frantic emotions.
"Mary, I had my suspicions but I thought I was paranoid. I never thought she'd be able to do this to me, but she did it. She really did it, to me! I give her everything and she repays me by ripping my heart out of my chest and fucking stomping on it until it's nothing but smithereens!" He shouted, throwing his arms in the air before tightly gripping his messy hair, tugging aggressively.
My eyes grew wide as I worriedly stepped closer to him, grabbing his wrists to remove his shaking hands from his dark hair, "Freddie, listen to me okay, take a deep breath. Calm down, everything is going to be okay, I'm here for you. Tell me what happened." My voice was hushed and he swallowed loudly, shaking his head as he pinched his dark eyes closed, causing a steam of tears to pour down his hollowed cheeks.
"I can't even say it, I can't admit to myself that this really happened! I just, I need someone, I didn't know who else to call. Clara!" He cried out, his forehead meeting my shoulder as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders, hugging him tightly.
"What did she do, Fred?" I nearly whispered.
"All this time, I've been inviting her over, I've been inviting her out, I've been asking her to come to our shows. She barely ever made it, I thought- I thought she was ashamed to be seen with me, maybe I wasn't good enough to be seen by her side. I was laying in my bed alone at night, I hate being alone. I reached for her every morning and she wasn't there. But, today, after I left your flat, I wanted to surprise her and when I got there..." A sob left his lips as he pinched the bridge of his nose,"When I got there, she was with someone else."
