A faint bump in the rode woke Zulina from her sleep as she let out a faint groan and as she opened her eyes she felt the warm arm encircle around her waist and she realized she'd fallen asleep leaning against Landon as he'd been driving. She let out a faint moan as she slowly pulled herself away from him.
"Sorry, Didn't think that pothole was so big... Didn't mean to wake you, Darling. Good morning" He murmured softly as he shifted his gaze towards her. It was nice seeing her within the day light. She appeared practically normal to the human eye. It had been hard to conceal the mythical glow her body gave off when the moonlight hit her flesh just right.
"Mm... no its no your fault..." She murmured softly as her eyes shifted to the digital clock on the dashboard. "Its already eleven?" She asked, abit bewildered by the thought that she'd slept for so long. "Where are we?" She asked as she looked around to see they were still deep in the mountains somewhere.
"West Virginia... We're about Four states away from home" He exhaled slowly as he turned his green gaze towards her once more.
"How far away did you move from your brother?" Zulina asked with abit of concern.. Greentree had been in upstate New York...
"I moved to Colorado after I was exiled by Titus... Its abit crowded with humans sure but Wolves are protected there and the humans dont suspect anything different between a lycan and a wolf so... it works." He seemed to chuckle as he looked towards her a moment. "Did you want to take a pit stop here or go another state? We're about five hours from the border of Kentucky.
"Im okay with driving to Kentucky, How come you chose to drive and not fly?" Zulina inquired as she looked him up and down with a sly grin.
"Chayde doesnt do well in cars let alone something that flies millions of feet in the air... I've wolfed out in a jet before... Luckily it was just with a group of other lycan and no one was hurt but... Chayde was pissed.... and you can imagine trying to talk him down from ripping the throats out of the pilots.
"To think the Alpha King is afraid of heights" Zulina teased and she giggled softly when she heard Chayde begin to surface as his hands tightened on the steering wheel abit and growl. Zulina leaned in and pressed her lips against Landon's jawline and murmured softly. "Easy, Chayde... I tease is all... Its alright... Arlo doesnt like planes either..." She murmured softly and Landon seemed to take control once more.
"Sorry... He's a grumpy wolf..." Landon chuckled softly as he turned his head to kiss her before returning his eyes back to the road. "Tell me abit about yourself Lina... if I may call you that? Or do you like Zu?"
The nickname made Zulina wince slightly as she shook her head. Memories of Titus flooding her mind and made her close her eyes and withdraw from Landon instantly as she looked out the window a moment and exhaled.
"Titus use to call me Zu..." She whispered as she cleared her throat.
"Then Lina it is... what the fuck brother... calling your future Queen a Zoo..." He hoffed before reaching over to take her hand. "You've spent half your life believing in the wrong prophecy... I understand you may not come to love me as you have my brother... but we're destined to be together, Titus never believed in the words of Seers... he's always laughed and mocked their faith in the Goddess... he even believes she does not exist either... but how can he claim she does not exist when you stand before him...He's a fool" Landon chuckled softly as he kissed her knuckles again and sighed. "I may not be able to make you forget him but I will make sure you will be loved better than he ever could given time..."
