Zulina's life had been set in stone the day she was born into the pack. Hair as pale as the moon, eyes as blue as the ocean's tide. She was considered a rare gift from the Moon goddess herself within her pack. About one out of fifty children born in...

"L-lina...." Landon's voice cracked out as he looked down at her pale emotionless face, trapped in a half intake of breath, her eyes staring dully past his face towards the moon. A tiny sob wracked his form as he pulled her limp form from the water and hugged her to him. "No...no no... no...Lina come on...baby please come on..." He begged out as he sobbed, within him he felt Chayde go completely motionless and still as his head rose back purely on instinct... a Howling cry leaving his lips as he screamed in agony...Through the human scream erupted the grief and pain of a wolf. His head dipping down to plant his face into the crook of her cold lifeless neck.
"You both took a vow...." A faint voice spoke from his right and sharply Landon shifted in the water, pulling Zulina's pale form with him, the cloud of red blood-water shifting and swirling as they moved but her blood continued to flow form her. His Green gaze shifted to the woman standing within the water just inches from the reflection of the moon. Her eyes two large saucers that mirrored the same blue that Zulina had... her hair almost a translucent white with strands of light blue interspersed between them. "Within my lake... you take a vow.... to serve....to protect.... to die and to be reborn..." The woman spoke as her hand raised from the water to gesture to Zulina's limp body that dangled halfway out of the water, her hands still within the water to keep the connection of her blood to the water. "Ive marked you since your birth into this world my child.... you are my greatest treasure..." She spoke as she approached them. Landon let out a faint growl but it was Chayde that silenced him from within.
"Luna" Chayde grunted into his mind and Landon looked shocked as he looked down to Zulina's dead stare and then back up towards the moon Goddess before him. Her hands reached out to touch one to Lina's chest the other to her stomach.
"You protected your goddess given mate this day.... and for that I am Greatful, my Daughter..." Luna spoke with a soft smile as a single tear ran down the woman's cheek she pressed her palm against Lina's stomach and exhaled slowly. "You were not meant to die for him however... not like this...." She murmured as she leaned down and pressed her lips to Lina's. "There is much you still must accomplish, My Moon Daughter....and you must do so with a beating heart... and a womb filled with his child...." She spoke with saddness as her eyes began to glow. The waters began to swirl as the moon's reflection crept closer to fully cloaking them. The blood began to draw back towards Lina's body and as Luna began to pray and speak in a language he didn't understand he watched as the radiant glow began to return to Zulina's features once more.
Landon's eyes shot down to look at Lina's eyes as they began to flutter before closing, her heart began to roar in his ears as he looked back to the Moon Goddess with shock and confusion. He pulled Lina closer into his arms as a thin sheer fabric began to cloak her body, the beautiful fabric shimmered like the moon within the water and as he raised her up out of the water to place her on the bank it didnt seem to be wet at all. His eyes turned quickly to look back at Luna as she sat in the water.
