I heard laughter as I was headed to my classroom; I recognized one to be Debbie but I couldn't put my finger on who the other laugh is from.
What I saw when I entered the room mortified me.
Debbie was standing in front of Vincent as he sat on the edge of MY desk!
Vincent sported a navy blue, fitted tux with a black button down shirt, which wasn't buttoned up all the way. He also wore reading glasses that actually did look quite good on him....
Skkrrrrrt..... what in the world am I thinking?!
I wanted to face palm myself for that stupid thought but instead i just shake my head and kept my mouth shut as I made my way to my desk to put my things down.
As I was gathering my paperwork for today I overheard the last bit of their conversation,
"So, I will pick you up at 6?" Mr. Hawkins asked,
"Yes, I will be ready," Debbie blushed,
"Well, I will see you then," he stood up, fixed his suit jacket and faced me, "Morning Bethany."
"Please call me Ms. Knight, Mr. Hawkins," I smile politely at him. I don't think he was expecting that kind of response from me, "May I ask where the girls are?"
"Uh, they will be dropped off a bit later," he tilted his head and watched me to see if I had any reaction to their 'date', but I didn't really mind.
"Okay, so if you don't mind, we have to prepare for the arrival of the kids," I like how I annoy him with my formalness,
Okay, wow. What is going on with me? I 'like how I annoy him?' Uhhh ew, no.
He shook his head but made his way to the door. I smirked at Debbie as she smiled at his retreating back; she thinks it's hilarious how he reacts to my formalness.
Overall, today was a great day.
It was my day to be the designated teacher to greet the kids as they came in.
Some new lady by the name of Stacy, dropped the girls off this morning and when I questioned her about Amanda, she said she can not speak on the matter. The next time Vincent approaches me, I will definitely have to ask him about her.
I also noticed the triplets behavior has improved a lot after meeting their father for the first time yesterday and I wasn't at all shocked when he dropped them off this morning along with Jayden and Jaylen. They kissed him on the cheek and actually said 'bye daddy', I smiled at Jole as his whole face lit up.
Jole also gave me an update on Jocelyn, she's doing a lot better now. She moved into Lauren's house since she went on her world tour yesterday. My first thought is that Jarred and Jocelyn must be living their best life in Lauren, also known as, LB's house! But Jole said Jocelyn and Jarrod are no longer together and only Jocelyn lives in the house with the children.
I was a bit confused on why they weren't together anymore but he said that's their story to tell.
During lunch Debbie told me that Vincent was having a charity banquet at his building and he invited her to be his plus one. She wanted to know if I was okay with it and I was. I was very grateful for her to ask me that because of my history with Vincent but I approved. I didn't mind her going to his banquet with him, they are grown ass adults and they can do as they please. Besides, Debbie is gay and she has a girlfriend, so it's not like she will end up having sex with him.
We both started laughing at my little speech but continued to eat our lunch.
We decided to do projects with kids about the solar system. The in class projects included research on a particular planet and an at home project insisted on the children creating a planet that was given to them by us with their parents.
Debbie and I built a large spinning mobil where the sun sat in the middle and we will place the other planets on as the students began turning them in and they must tell us one thing about their planet.
The children were really excited about it and in order for everyone to get a planet I had to give the triplets one to share and the twins one to share. Debbie was thinking to have Jordan share with the triplets but I told her no. It's best he do his project with his family.
