Its been three days since I heard her voice over the phone and I still couldn't believe that she is the head teacher of my girls kindergarten class. It makes me kind of proud to know that she went to school for the thing she loves the most.

Today was the day that I will be taking the girls over to Jole's house for the twins birthday and they were really excited. Jole told me that he invited Bethany and I quickly agreed to bring the girls.

I just needed to see her.

"DAD!" I heard Viola yell from the kitchen.

I was slipping on my red Ralph Lauren shirt, when I answered back, "Yes!?"

"You take forever to get ready!" Violet said instead as she stood in my doorway watching me, "mom is quicker than you."

I spun around and glared at her. I swear, Violet is in her teenage years already and she really had no filter, "Well, I'm the face on many magazines, billboards and buildings. Daddy always has to make sure he looks good before he walks out of the house."

Or maybe I'm trying to look good for someone.

"Mom, is also on magazines, billboards and buildings. She is even on TV when she goes to Paris," Violet smirked at me,

"You know what," I slid my feet in my brown Sperry's and stood infront of the mirror, "just go finish your breakfast."

She huffed but did as I said.

They might be smart mouth, witty and annoying but they are also loving, kind and caring. I still remember the first day I met them.

Flashback

I pulled my keys out of my pocket and opened the door to see two car seats and what looked like a pink duffel bag.

"Mom! Dad!" I slipped my shoes off and took my soaked jacket off as well and walked into the living room without taking my eyes off the two car seats, "why are their two pink car seats near the door?"

"Sweetheart," I snapped my eyes to my mom as she sat in front of the crackling fire place, "you didn't attend your prom?"

"Uh, no, I had something I needed to take care of," I began to unbutton my shirt as I made my way near the fire place and closer to my mom, "mom, why are there two...."

I was shocked when I noticed my mom holding a baby. I opened my mouth to say something but then my dad entered the room with another baby in his arms.

"Why the fuck do you two have babies in your arms? Did you adopt and didn't tell me?"

"Oh no," my mother smiled at the baby, "these little girls are yours."

What. The. Fuck!

"What do you mean, they are mine?" I stood frozen in my spot as my eyes bounced from my mom's arms to my dad's arms and back to my mom.

"Well, there was a knock on the door about 45 minutes after you left," I watched my mom move the blanket from the baby's face with a smile on her face,

"And when we opened the door," Dad continued as he sat in the chair next to mom, "no one was there except two pink car seats sitting on our doorstep. We didn't know what was going on until we realized there was a note on the pink bag."

"There names are Viola," Mom said as she looked at the baby in her arms. She then pointed at the baby dad was holding, "and that one is Violet."

"Why letter 'V' names?" then it dawned on me, "because of my name." They both nodded, "well, do they have my last name?"

"Uh," dad handed me the paper off of the side table next to him, "here's their birth certificate."

I read it and immediately felt dizzy. They definitely were my babies and I knew exactly who their mother is.

I looked at the twins again and the feeling of being a young dad felt so unreal to me.

"I, uh, need a moment," I run upstairs and into my room.

I run around my room searching for my phone. After 3 minutes of tossing clothes off my bed, I find my phone on my desk under some paperwork. I quickly search through my contacts and find the one person I felt like cursing out.

The phone ringed and ringed,

"Hello?"

"Angelica! What the hell?"

"You got the girls?" she sounded relieved, "I wasn't sure if my manager was going to get there in time."

"In time? What the hell do you mean?" I rubbed my temple, "Angelica, why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?"

"I knew you were in your senior year of high school Vincent, and I was on a break from my modeling career that I didn't want to completely uproot your life."

"So why drop them off on me now? Without any warning or heads up?"

"Well," I heard her shuffle around and I heard a few other female voices in the background, "I was asked to be apart of the Victoria Secret Fashion show in Paris and I needed them to be with someone I trusted while I was away."

"Excuse me? So your saying that if you had someone you trusted to watch the girls, I wouldn't have even known of their existence because you would have kept them a secret from me?"

"No. No. No. I was going to introduce them to you once I got back,"

"And when was that going to be?"

"In a year."

"You were going to keep my daughters from me for a year?" I rested my hand on my hip as I tried to hold in my anger,

"NO. I mean yes, but I was thinking about you as I made the decision," I kept my mouth shut as I let her continue, "I would never keep them away from you intentionally. I put your name on their birth certificate because you are their father and you will be in their life no matter what."

I tilt my head up and stare at the ceiling.

"I swear Vincent, I was going to tell you but I needed you to have a normal last year of high school. I am so sorry," she huffed. A voice in her background made a demand and it sounded like she was at the airport, "Listen, I'm boarding my plane to Paris now. I'll be back in a year and we can discuss co-parenting, just take care of them. I know you will love them just as much as I do."

I nodded my head in understanding but knowing she couldn't see me, I responded, "I understand and thank you but I still would've liked to have been there for their birth." I heard her sigh, "But we will talk about it more when you get back."

I ended the call and paced my room.

My life was forever changed.

Forever!
