"Jack, what happened to you?" Zach asked on the tour bus a week later. "You're not the same Jack I know."

"Sorry, Z," Jack said. "I just- I had to break up with Gabbie."

"What? Why?"

"We're so busy, I don't have enough time for her," Jack explained.

"Uh, ok," Zach thought about it. "But is that worth giving her up?"

"I mean, I don't want to be a half-ass boyfriend."

"Ok, true," Zach pat his back. "Do try to cheer up a little bit, please?"

"Ok, I'll try."

Back in Orlando, Gabriela returned home and immediately slumped down on her soft mattress and burst into tears. Her sister, Rachel, walked in the room, wondering what was the matter.

"Gabs," Rachie knocked lightly on the door. "Everything ok?"

"No, it's not," Gabbie said, sitting up and wiping her tears. "It's not alright."

"What happened? I thought Europe would be fun."

"Oh, Europe was fun," Gabbie nodded. "But just before I left, Jack broke up with me. Apparently, he can't be a good boyfriend cause he's too busy."

"I'm afraid I have to agree with that," Rachie said, giving her older sister that look.

"You're not helping."

"Sorry." Rachel sat down on the bed, hugging her sister. "Maybe, when he's less busy, he'll want you back?"

"I don't want to wait that long," Gabbie admitted. "Right now is the peak of his career. I don't want to ruin it by being a distraction."

If only it were easier.
