"Hi, baby," Jack greeted his girlfriend via FaceTime. "How are you and Lavender doing today?"

"Great!" Gabriela replied. It had been three weeks, almost done with the tour. "I went to that flower field in the hills with Yasmeen and Allie today."

"Both of them have baby girls, right?"

"Yes!" Gabbie confirmed. "They're making me so ready to get Lavender out."

"In due time, Gabbie," Jack reassured her. "What did you guys do at the field?"

"Ya know, took pictures, talked about babies, had a picnic," she explained. "I think Rylee is taking me to the beach tomorrow."

"Nice," Jack nodded his head. "How's Lav? Is she kicking still?"

"No, she hasn't kicked since the concert. I think it's your voice that makes her kick. She loves your voice."

"Sweet," Jack smiled at the camera.

In the background, Gabbie heard a voice saying, "Jack, shut the hell up, I'm tryna sleeeeeep."

"Sorry Gabs, Zach is being annoying," Jack said. "I should probably go."

"Alright love you!"

"Stay safe, Angel. Love you!"

Gabriela hung up the phone and placed it in the kitchen to charge. She never kept her phone in her bedroom because electromagnetic waves are harmful to the baby.

She went into the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face, like normal. Looking in the mirror, she lifted up her T-shirt to admire her bump. With clothes on, you'd never know that she was 8 months pregnant. But as soon as her stomach was exposed, you could tell.

The baby squirmed in her, wanted her mother to go to sleep. Gabbie rubbed her belly gently and hushed the fetus inside her.

"I know, baby," she whispered. "I want you out, too."

Gabbie walked over to her and Jack's shared bedroom and lied down on top of the bedsheets. She longingly glanced at the desk chair in front of Jack's computer, where he'd normally be playing Fortnite right now.

"Missing Jack?" Rachel said at the doorway, making Gabbie jump a little.

"Jeez, Rachie, don't scare me," she said, clasping her hand over her heart. "Yes, I'm missing Jack. What else do I do?"

"You talk to your unborn baby."

I want Jack back now. Only one more week.
