Two nights later, Gabriela was drifting off into sleep as Jack sang more lullabies to her and the baby. Her stomach began to hurt really badly, almost like contractions. She decided to look it up. Braxton Hicks contractions are random, irregular contractions that happen generally around 34 to 38 weeks. Gabbie counted on her fingers and determined that she was exactly 38 weeks.

She just assumed that the pain she was having was because of Braxton Hicks contractions and since it was 11 PM, she decided to just go to sleep. Jack stayed on his PC next to the bed and played Fortnite because he couldn't play as well on tour.

Around 1 in the morning, Jack was done playing for the night (or rather, morning) so pulled his shirt off and carefully got into bed next to his girlfriend. One slight move made her flinch and wake up.

"Oh, Gabbie, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up," Jack immediately apologized and kissed her head.

"It's ok," she said. She sat up a little bit, making herself comfy. She suddenly had a strong urge to drink orange juice. Like, I know I'm from Florida and I'm pregnant but I don't ever drink orange juice. "Hey, Jacky? Can you get me a glass of orange juice?"

"Yeah, sure babe," he replied. He went in the kitchen and returned two minutes later with a glass filled to the brim. He handed it to Gabbie before laying down next to her, patting her leg to make sure she was ok.

Gabbie chugged the glass all the way because of how thirsty she was. Her stomach was still hurting, but hopefully the OJ would help her craving. She rested her head against the headboard and waited a few minutes.

Her stomach pain began to get worse. Then, she felt like she had to pee her pants really badly. She quickly jumped up and ran to the bathroom, but she already felt wet before reaching the toilet. Did I pee my pants? Did my water break? What just happened?

Gabbie thought nothing of it, and climbed back in bed. Jack fell asleep shortly after. An hour or so later, Gabbie still couldn't fall back asleep so she had nothing better to do than count the time between her contractions. They kept getting closer and closer together, so Gabbie thought she should maybe be worried a little. Not only that, but it was hurting badly.

In pain, Gabriela ran into the next room and shook her mother awake. "Mom, Mom, it hurts so bad." Tears we're streaming down her face, not being able to hold the pain any longer.

"Gabriela, it's ok," Lisa reassured her. "Here, let's sit on the couch and count your contractions."

The contractions ended up being 3 minutes apart, so Lisa, with wide eyes, said, "Alright, let's go to the hospital."

Gabbie's breathing became faster as she quickly went back into her bedroom and tapped Jack on his shoulder. No reply. She reverted to hitting him rather than tapping him.

"Jack, Jack! We need to go to the hospital!" She exclaimed, not bothering to whisper.

Without opening his eyes, Jack slightly nods and mumbles, "ok." He rolled over so that his back was facing Gabriela.

She frowned and tapped him again. "We're going, right, now? To the hospital!" She repeated. Still no reply. Now she was violently shaking her boyfriend to wake him up. "Jack! Get up! We're going to the hospital!"

He opened his eyes. He heard it that time. "Wha-?"

"We're going now! Let's go!" She repeated for the fifth time. "Pack a bag of clothes for yourself, I've got my bag!"

Jack's eyes widened and he quickly slipping on his shoes, some pants, a beanie, and his jacket. He threw some random clothes into a duffel bag and slung it over his shoulder. Lisa had woken up Rachie, who grabbed Gabbie's vlog camera to document the experience. The four of them made it out of the house in 30 seconds.

It was 3 AM, so the lack of traffic conveniently made it to the closest hospital only 10 minutes away. However, Gabriela's contractions started hurting really badly in the car. There was no doubt about it, she was having this baby right now.

Lisa hopped out of the car and ran up to the security guards at the entrance. Gabbie and Jack followed suite.

Gabbie held her camera as she stood outside. Her face directly showed that she was in pain, and that she was definitely having a baby right away. "We're at the hospital," she said to the camera. She faced it towards Jack, and he smiled widely, very excited for his baby. She faced it back towards herself and groaned. "Mm, it hurts right now."

Jack slid up next to her in the frame. "Baby might be coming," he said with a huge smile. Gabbie nodded. "Might be...comin.'"

"Where's the maternity center?" Lisa asked the security guards.

"Oh, I'm assuming you're visiting someone who's already up there?" The guard replied.

"No, my daughter is having a baby." Lisa pointed back at Gabbie.

The guards eyebrows raised. Granted, she did not look pregnant at all with clothes on. "You're having a baby? Gonna be the world's smallest baby. The maternity center is upstairs, take this elevator."

"Thank you so much," Lisa said.

Holding her stomach gently, Gabbie followed her mom to the maternity center. Right away, a nurse escorted her to the check-up room to confirm that she was actually going into labor. Gabbie laid down on the crappy bed. The check-up room was huge, with each individual bed separated by a curtain. No other patients were in the room, but doctors occasionally walked in and out.

A doctor came in to check her and confirmed, "Alright, Gabriela, you are 3 centimeters dilated!"

Gabbie groaned as the pain from her contractions got worse and worse. She began to shiver and then throw up from the pain she was in. Jack was very concerned; it hurt him seeing her in so much pain. She laid on her right side, so Jack used one hand to stroke her hair gently and the other hand to hold hers.

"It's alright, baby," Jack whispered. "You're doing great."

This was only the beginning.
