FIRST- Chapter 21
We're as likely to hurt the universe as we are to help it, and we're not likely to do either.
Guys! I'm so glad to be back. I missed y'all so much! Thank you so much for your kind words and your helpful messages, y'all have been so uplifting in this time for me. Ily all. <3 Also while I was out, many of y'all have been emailing/tweeting me, begging to do more in Sidney's POV. I try to give you Sid's perspective as often as possible, but what the people want, the people will get. (: This chapter jumps a lot between POVs so don't get confused aha. Thank you so much for 1K! We've come so far in only four months, I can't believe how awesome y'all are! Some of you have also been saying you miss my really long author's notes so I decided to bring them back aha. How is everyone doing? :)This is a very important chapter! It's 7K and I feel like it's the best one in the whole book, it reveals so much and it just really speaks for Sena and it made me cry a lot aha so enjoy x Please DON'T skip this chapter, you'll miss so much and the references later on will KILL you! lol -zelle xo

Gena's POV
During an MRI, the most important thing is to lay completely still.
But that day, it was nearly impossible.
Sidney lingers in the doorway as the loud chirping of the machine becomes all that I hear. The metal tray that I'm lying on is freezing cold, and the thin hospital robe isn't helping much. Fortunately the process goes by rather quick, and by the time I'm back in my own clothes and making my way to the car with Sidney, I'm weak and want to go back to sleep.
The cold air conditioning blasts me in the face and I sigh in relief.
The drive back from the hospital is quiet, only the light sound of the radio fills the car until Sidney speaks up. "Do you want to get Chinese food?" he asks, squeezing my hand gently to get my attention.
"I'm really hungry and I can't think of anything better than some Chinese right now." I admit, a small smile appearing on my face. Sidney turns onto a main street and within five minutes, we're pulling into the parking lot of a Chinese restaurant.
"Usual?" Sidney asks me and I nod. "I'll be right back, unless you want to come with me?" I shake my head. "I'll just wait here." Sidney gives me a small smile and places a light kiss on my nose. I peck his chin before he can pull away and he laughs quietly, sliding out of the car and waving at me. I wave back and pull my phone out of my pocket, absentmindedly texting Jen.
Hope the MRI went well. Kick cancer's ass, babe! She sends and I smile widely. I had only known Jen for a couple of years, but since I met her, she has become my best friend. We have watched each other go through so much; I have known her since before she even met Samuel, and now they're getting married in the fall.
I will. I tell her as the door to the restaurant swings open, revealing Sidney, his arms full of white plastic bags.
I lean over and unlock the driver's door, pushing it open to help him. A nostalgic feeling twists my empty stomach, and I'm reminded of the night Sidney took me to the restaurant, and kissed me on my old stoop. Chills tickle my spine as I flash back to the first time I felt Sidney's lips on mine. What a magical feeling it was, nearly two months ago.
