Prologue:
The battle of Waterloo
France had recently suffered from war; You may of heard of this war, it was called the battle of Waterloo. The poor won the war, but soon after the king was put back on the throne, in Paris 1815, there were two types of people. People who agreed with the king ruling
France and people who didn't. The rich would support the king and the poor not.

There was once a young, beautiful lady, I am sorry to say but I do not know her name. All I know was that she was rich and the man she fell in love with was not, the lady's father was not happy about this. And so when she died, the father took away his child and wouldn't let the man he hated, the child's dad, to see his son agin.

Chapter 1:
Just a boy
Marius never knew his father. He was young, and lived with his grandfather for as long as he could remember. But he was just a boy and dreamed of knowing his father. His grandfather loved and cared for him but said horrible things about his father. Anyway of course, like is always the way, the boy grew up. He was a very handsome man but always carried his wits about him. He left his grandfather and decided he never wanted to see him agin. The only thing Marius had to remember his grandfather was a small golden ring.

         Chapter 2:
The Lady who lived next door.

Marius lived in the top floor of a small hotel. His life was fine, everyday he'd take a walk in the beautiful gardens in Paris. Then a family moved into the room next door. The family consisted of a mother, father and a daughter, around Marius's age, called Éponine Thénardier. Marius first met Éponine when she came banging on his door,
"Please Monsieur..." then, Marius thought she must have lost her train of thought, she was lost alright. Lost in his eyes. Éponine had obviously fallen In love with Marius. I'm sad to say for Éponine that he did not love her back.
"My family are poor, could you spare a penny?" She finally asked.
"What? No, on your way," then he saw tears filling up in his eyes.
"Please Monsieur! Please." She Said through tears.
"Yes. Here, take this. Use it well, you're not getting anymore. Oh! Dry your eyes," He told her, taking out a handkerchief. It was Éponine saw that it was beautifully made. It was blue silk, with the letters 'M.P' (Marius Pontmercy. ) She wiped her eyes, and blew her nose. She handed it back to her, but he refused it.
"You have it." He told her.
She smiled "thank you Monsieur." She grinned.
He gave her a small nod and then shut the door on her. When he heard her go back into her room he gave a sigh of annoyance.

Chapter 3:
The lady in the garden
Marius took his daily stroll, when someone caught up with him. Éponine.
"Lot of trouble here today, shall I tell you what's going on?" She asked him, feeling she could confide in him.
"I bet you're gonna tell me anyway?" Marius muttered.
"Mi fathers plotting a plan, E's gonna us more money, clever one it is, 'swell." She informed him.
"Really?" He Asked, unimpressed.
Then, beautiful a young lady, with long brownish/blondish hair wearing a fancy dress with her papa walked past
"No." Said Éponine, realising who it was.
"Éponine, Who was that?" He Asked.
"Cosette. When we was young she lived with my family, I'd never forget her face, that's her alright." She told her.
"Cosette." He said, "Cosette, Cosette, Cosette." He couldn't take his eyes off how beautiful she looked. She looked back at him and smiled, he smiled back at her. It was true love at first sight. Suddenly, Cosette and her papa were stopped by, you know who, Thénardier.

             Chapter 4:
              What Thénardier did.
Marius knew Thénardier wasn't going to do good so he made the decision to tell the police. It just so happened that the nearest police officer was Jeavet.
"Excuse me, someone I know is braking the law, I couldn't just do nothing."He told him.
"What?" Jeavet Asked.
"I don't know, some sort of robbery."
"Where?"
And he told him the name of the hotel.

Marius got back and snuck into his room. When he got inside he saw, you guessed it Éponine.
"I been kicked outta my room. Thought I'd spend the time here." She Said. Marius rolled his eyes.
"Wanna get in the bed,and-" she started.
"NO!" He shouted at her. "Sorry. But there is something you can do for me, that Cosette, find out where she lives, just don't let her father know." He told her.
"What'll I get in return?" Éponine Asked. Marius reached for his wallet but she stopped her.
"Don't you understand anything?" She asked him, "I don't want your money! "
"Éponine, I don't know what you mean, but find her, please. For me?"
"I'll do anything for you..." she went out of the room for a minute, then came back in, "hold on, my father has been put in jail, do you know who told Jeavet?"
Marius shrugged.

                                                         Chapter 5:
                                               The friends of ABC café

Lamarque was one of the only rich man to support the poor. Every year he grew stronger in his believe but weaker in his age. Unfortunately for him, he was almost dead, but his death would be the start of the revolution. They all knew it was coming, by 'them' I mean Combeferre, Jean Prouvaire, Feuilly, Courfeyrac, Bahorel, Lesgle, Joly, Enjolras And, of course, Marius. They were the leaders of the revolution. They were planning the revolution in the ABC café , but Marius was late.

"Pray tell, why are you so late?" Asked Feuilly.
"I have seen the most wonderful girl. I think I'm in love!" Cried Marius. They all laughed, except Enjolras.
"Come now! We have no time for love! The revolution is approaching, Lamarque is getting weaker day by day." He told them.
"You're right." Marius nodded. They plotted and thought under the roof of the ABC Café for quite some time. Then they heard a tiny voice calling up the stairs, "Lamarque is dead!" The little voice was   Gavroche a young boy who had no parents or home but wanted desperately to fight in the revolution. The time had come.

                                                       Chapter 6:
                                                The attack on Rue Plumet
When Marius finally returned home, he saw, you know who, Éponine. But this time she had good news, she had found where Cosette lives.
"Take me to her straight away. I can't bare to live another day without her." He told her.

A few minutes later, Marius found himself standing by the gates of a beautiful house.
"I'll be off then," Éponine Said.
"Yeah, yeah you go." He told her, giving a little 'shoe' hand jester.
"Can you find your way back?" She asked him.
"Yeah, Yeah, I'll be fine." He replied.
So Éponine went, although she hid behind a pillar to see what was going on. She saw them laughing and smiling at each other. Cosette let him in through the gate and a tear ran down Éponine's eye when she saw them kiss. When they were out of sight, Éponine started to go back, but then she saw three people walking towards her. One of them was Thénardier.
"Do we all know the plan?" He Asked the other two men who nodded.
"What plan?" Éponine loudly asked.
"Shhhhh! What are you doing here, Éponine?"
"No! What are you doing here?" Éponine retorted.
"I guess you can stay, just shut up!"
"You're going to rob the man who lives here again, aren't you?" Éponine realised, "I'll scream, I'll make them hear!" Éponine cried, getting louder.
"If you do, you'll never see the light of day again." Thénardier threatened, but it was to late, Éponine screamed at the top of her voice.
"Fine! Have it your way!" Thénardier Said, "but you will have to find your own home, you are not my daughter." And at that he ran away. Then she saw Marius and Cosette running to the gate. Cosette opened it and let him out. They said a short goodbye, then he and Éponine ran off just before Cosette's papa came out.

The next day was the start of the revolution, Marius had to make a tough decision. Cosette had moved away and he had to decide over love or loyalty. He picked loyalty and would stay to fight the revolution.
