                                                   Prologue:
                                        Éponine's thoughts
Éponine walked helpless and alone. She had been kicked out of her home and family. She looked down at her reflection in a puddle of rain water. She saw how ugly she looked and didn't blame Marius for not loving her back; Cosette was way prettier by far. A million thoughts ran through her head as one tear fell down her face. I can never do good, she thought, I tried to, I gave a cry when my father was going to attack Cosette's house. But now she and her papa have moved away and now Marius is sad. Everything I do, makes someone either sad or angry. Oh! Why can't I be more like Cosette? I seem remember that when Cosette lives with us in the inn she used to imagine things when she was sad and she was happy; it could work with me. So she imagined Marius was with her. She could feel his arms around her body, she looked up, she could see his eyes staring down at her with loving eyes. "I'm here." He said before leaning in to kiss her, but he never did, and Éponine realised it was all in her head. Suddenly, a young boy- around seven or eight- came up to her.
"You alright miss?" He Asked. Éponine nodded. "Then I'll be on my way." He said, Éponine moved so he could pass. She recognised this young child but didn't know were from, then she remembered. It was Gavroche, her brother who was abounded by her parents!

                                    Chapter 1:
                    The Building of the barricade
The day had come, the day of the revolution. First they needed a barricade. Now remember they were poor, so they built it with doors, tables, chairs, book selves, bed frames, anything that they could find that would keep the enemy way. All around, furniture was thrown out of house and hotels, inns and shops. Throughout time it grew taller and taller.
"Is there anyone here who will go as a spy?" Asked Enjolras, "We need to find out what they are planning and when they'll attack."
"I'll go." A man called from behind.
"Ok, good." Agreed Enjolras. So he climbed the barricade and went out of sight.
"Psssss!" A lady's voice came from the corner. It was Éponine.
"Éponine, what are you doing here?" Asked Marius.
"I wanted to give this to you." She handed him a letter that had the words 'My Beloved Marius.' "It's from Cosette." She continued, "She left it on the day my father was attacking her house."
"Thank you, Éponine. Now go home, you never know when you could get hit by a bullet."
"It's a good place to die as any." Éponine muttered.
"What's that supposed to mean?" A confused Marius Asked.
Éponine shrugged. "As long as you're safe, Monsieur."

Chapter 2:
The spy returns
"He's back!" Enjolras called, seeing the spy that they had sent.
"Listen to me, I have overheard their plans. They will not attack tonight. But-"
"Ha! You don't believe this man do ya?" Gavroche laughed, "Don't you see? This is no spy, this is Jeavet, he's on the other side's team."
"You are right, Gavroche! It is Jeavet!" Cried Enjolras. "Take him to the ABC Café, tie him up, the people will decide your fate Inspector Jeavet."
"Shoot my now or later, you will still fall, long live the King!" Jeavet retorted.
"They're getting ready to attack! Quick! In your places!" Cried a Marius. All around the barricade, gun shots could be seen and heard. The explanations were so loud, you had to cover your ears. Bang! Went the city as a explosion set off, BANG! Went the guns. All around, people died, blood filled the streets of Paris.
Unexpectedly, the enemy started climbing the barricade. As they got closer and closer the Friends of ABC got feather back. Then Marius picked up a barrel and lit a flame.
"Stand back! Or the barricade goes on fire!" He shouted.
"You'll have to burn with it!" A foe Cried.
"It goes up in flames with me." Marius bravely told them.
Slowly, the foe crept away.
They were safe, for now.
"That was very brave of you, Monsieur." Éponine told him.
"Thank you."

Later that evening.
There was another attack, just the same as the first. Guns were fired, Paris blew up. But then, a bullet was fired straight at Marius. This was going to be the end of him, he knew it! Then someone cried, "NO!" And jumped in the way of the bullet and got shot instead, it was Éponine.
"No, Éponine!" Wept Marius, "is there anything I can do?"
"Th....thi...millions of people... will die... here. I'm.... just one... of ... them, there's.... nothing... anyone... can do... to save me now...just hold me... close to you, Marius... let me... die in your arms."
So he did, he rapped his arms around her like a blanket. She smiled, and died peacefully in his arms...

Chapter 3:
The second attack.

"Vivre France, Monsieur." Gavroche-The young child- did his best to keep everyone's spirits up, although this was hard, he tried. "Vivre France, Monsieur." He told everyone at the barricade.
"Little Gavroche, would you mind delivering this letter?" Marius Asked. The boy agreed. It was marked, 'to my darling Cosette'
"Hey! There's a man climbing the barricade!" A watch-out person cried. "Say your reasons for coming here today"
"I am here to fight with you, I am not a foe." The man told him.
"They are attacking!" He shouted, "well, join us now but if you shoot us in the back you'll never live to tell."
Bang! Went the city. Bang! Men and woman died all over. Marius had become a very popular aim after his threaten to burn the barricade, so another bullet was shot straight at him. The man, who had said he was here to fight pushed him out of the way, just missing him getting shot himself, he killed the one who tried to kill Marius. After the attack, the two had a chat,
"I'm Marius. Thank you for saving my life! Is there anything I can do to re pay you?" He asked. The man thought for a few minutes, then said, "Yes, actually. Let me kill Jeavet."
Marius held out a gun, "he's all yours"
BAG! Came from inside the cafe. Jeavet was never seen again.

"Will someone be brave enough to go and collect the bodies?" Asked Enjolras.
No one stepped up.
"Fine," Gavroche shrugged, "I'll go!"
"No! You can't!" Everyone told him.
"Look at me! I'm going!" He climbed down the barricade and into the streets. Unexpectedly, a gun shot at him, he dogged it, another shot, he dogged it, a third one shot... he couldn't doge it. He fell to the floor in pain. Another shot at him, he didn't have the energy to move so he let it hit him. He was dead.

Chapter 4:
The final battle
They had some time before the foe attacked again so the friends of ABC all had a drink together, they laughed and talked over the days before the revolution, the memories that would never leave.
"If we are to die in this final battle, let us share this time together." Feuilly Said, triumphantly.
They all raised a glass, "to the revolution."

The moment came, the last battle of the revolution. Just the same as the first two, Bang! Bang! BANG! Is all you could hear. BANG! Combeferre and Jean Prouvaire died! ,Bang, Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Feuilly and  Courfeyrac, gone. Bang! Bang! Bahorel's life ended. Bang! Bang! Bang! BANG, Lesgle and  Joly fell.  Bang! Enjolras died. Marius was the only friend of ABC to survive! But the revolution was over. Marius fell fainted on the floor, and the man who saved his life earlier took his body through the sewers...
