Ava
"No!" Aziraphale stomped his left foot like a child and huffed. "Try again! We need to get this right."

I rolled tongue over my front teeth. "Zira, we have been at this for hours. I'm tired and I want to go home!" I glanced at the man laying on the couch with one leg and arm dangling over the edge. "And Crowley is passed out drunk! I need to get him home."

The angel puffed out his cheeks. He's irritated with me and everything else. "Fine," he gave in, "But we are trying a few more times before you leave!"

I nodded. I shut my eyes tightly and concentrated. Nothing happened. "Ugh!" I groaned, running my hands through my hair. "I can't do this! It's too hard."

"Yes, you can!" Aziraphale encouraged. "The book says it's not easy, but you will be able to do it!"

I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Okay, I can do this. I can do this. I stared blankly at the wall instead of closing my eyes. A tingly feeling starts to arise in me and I look at Aziraphale with wide eyes. He motions at me to keep focusing. Slowly, I feel something detaching from my body. A shiver ran up my spine and chilled my entire body.

Aziraphale gasps and takes a step back, bumping into a bookcase. "Oh my Heavens..."

I slowly turn my head in the direction Aziraphale is looking. "Holy shit." I whispered.

There, on the wall, is my shadow. I don't know if it's the angelic shadow or demonic shadow, but it's definitely my shadow.

"Aziraphale..." I trailed off, not knowing what to say.

"U-um, the book says... oh darn, where did it go? I just had it!" He licked his fingers and flipped through the pages of the book trying to find an answer. "Ah! Here it is!" His eyes scanned the book slowly making me impatient.

"Oh, for someone's sake!" I snapped my fingers and the book appeared in my hands. "This page says that I can control my two shadows. I can tell them what to do for me. Basically I can split myself in two?" I said more as a question. I looked at Aziraphale with a confused look.

"Let me see." He leaned over my shoulder and read the pages. "It does appear so. Think of it as backup help. It's you, but in shadow form. It also says that if your shadow is in a different place than you are, you can connect yourself to your shadow and by doing so you will travel to where your shadow is! How exciting!"

I shifted uncomfortably. "Does that mean I can teleport? This is so weird." I handed the book to Aziraphale and sighed. "I never thought I would ever have this much responsibility in my life. I love my life more than I ever have, but this is overwhelming right now."

I feel a cold, thin arm wrap around me. "Crowley?" I look up at the figure and scream. I jump back next to Aziraphale as my shadow and I make eye contact. Does it even have eyes?

My shadow looks taken aback, it's hand is on it's chest. "Did you just try to comfort me?" I asked it, still unsure of the thing in front of me.

It nodded it's head at me. "Which shadow are you?" Aziraphale questioned. The shadow pointed at him. "Oh, you must mean the angel one. Very nice!" Aziraphale stretches out an arm and shakes hands with my shadow. What the fuck is going on?

I shook my head and decided to ignore my shadow for now. "Can you go sit on the wall or whatever you do? I need to talk to Aziraphale. Please." The shadow did as I said and leaned against the wall.
