Briefly after the two of us abandoned our conversation that I knew I wasn't going to be able to understand anytime soon, Frank's snoring replaced the growing silence in the room. I was honestly pretty annoyed, because I had already just waited all morning for him to wake up, but at least now I didn't have to worry about him talking to my brother anymore.
I wasn't sure that it was the greatest idea in the world, but I decided to pay Frank's house a visit again. I assumed he'd be asleep for a while, and he had made it quite clear that he wasn't planning on escaping, so I wasn't too concerned about leaving him alone.
It wasn't difficult for me to remember where he lived. I had previously stalked him for weeks, so now his address just came naturally to me. Once inside, I grabbed some random clothes that I found lying around and shoved them into a backpack I had brought along with me.
It seemed like too much effort to be doing this, but Frank needed to look as if he had gone home and changed on his own, so that Mikey and Ray were less likely to suspect something was up. They couldn't know that I was technically forcing him to stay with me.
After grabbing a few outfits for him, I briefly searched around his home for anything else he may need, but there was really nothing. This guy was boring- he barely had anything entertaining to do at home. So once I double checked the bathroom to see if I had missed any blood stains from the night before, I decided to head back home.
However, I instantly regretted having took my time driving back. As soon as I walked in the door to my own home, I spotted Mikey, Ray, AND FRANK all sitting and laughing together at the kitchen table. My heart rate shot through the roof as I approached, hoping and praying that Frank hadn't admitted anything to them about me while I was away.
"Oh, hey, Gerard," Frank waved at me with a cheerful grin plastered across his face. "There's breakfast here for you if you want it".
"Hello," I stated calmly. Narrowing my eyes, I glanced from person to person. Mikey and Ray didn't seem to look suspicious of anything, and Frank looked genuinely happy.
"Gee, how come you lied to me about Frank?" Mikey asked suddenly, looking rather concerned.
I bit my lip as anxiety filled my veins. This was it. This was the end for me. Surely, there were policemen or something in the other room, waiting for their cue to arrest me like some sort of dramatic movie scene. Frank had to have told them the truth, and they were just teasing me in these last few seconds I had before I was hulled off to my prison cell.
"Mikey, I-"
"Seriously, I would've been fine if you had just told me he was your boyfriend! I'm happy for you".
Boyfriend? That's what Frank told them?
"Honestly, I'm surprised," Ray chuckled. "I never considered the fact that you were into guys... but that's cool! Based on what Frank has been telling us, I think you two are perfect for each other".
"What has he been telling you...?" I questioned, staring Frank straight in the eyes.
"Oh you know, just all about the wonderful dates you've taken me on, how we met, how incredibly sweet you are to me..." Frank answered for the two of them. "All good things, all good things". He winked at me again as he turned back to the table.
I changed my mind. I wanted to strangle him. I almost wished he had just told them the truth about how I had tried to kill him. It would've been less humiliating than this. I didn't want a boyfriend. I didn't need one. I was perfectly fine on my own, and that's how I wanted it to stay.
I stood there dumbfounded for a moment before asking, "Frank, could we talk outside for a minute?" I earned giggles out of Ray and Mikey before Frank nodded his head and followed me out.
