Nicki's POV
I was dumbfounded by Titus and I's last conversation. I knew how protective Titus was over Ty, well, ever since the accident at least. Sighing, I sat up and yawned. It was morning and I woke up really early. I was really tired but it was soon swept away by my thought of Ty.
I began to get dressed. I wanted to see if I could catch him before school started. He always studies in the library early, I remember seeing Titus' car outside of school when I came early.
After my shower, I put on skinny jeans, uggs, and a sweater. It was supposed to be cold because of it getting closer to November. I put my hair in a ponytail and ran downstairs. I was left to walk to school because Rose drove my car home yesterday. I sent her a message saying that she didn't have to pick me up to go to school.
I put my phone in my pocket and shivered as I walked down the sidewalk. It was colder than I thought. My body temperature was higher because of my wolf blood, but it was freezing outside. Practically snowing!

When I made it to the school, I smelled Ty's scent. A smile formed on my face and I followed it. It was leading to the library so I knew that he was studying or something. I racked my brain for an excuse to be in there.
Opening the door to the library, I gaped at Ty. He didn't notice me in the room yet which gave me plenty of time to ogle him. Shit shit shit! Don't look like a creeper! I began to walk towards him but tripped on my way. Smooth move Nicki.
I rubbed my head and groaned. "Are you okay?" Ty ran over to me with wide eyes.
"Yeah, I think so." I blushed crazily. I'm such an idiot.
"L-let me help you." He held out his hand which I grabbed. Tingles spread throughout my arm. Ty noticed to because he dropped my hand as if it were on fire making me fall back again. "I'm so sorry!" He grabbed my hand again and pulled me up all the way. "It's just I-I-It was an a-accident" He stuttered. I only smiled at how cute he was being. "Y-you're really cold. D-did you walk all the way here?" He asked covering me with his jacket and staring at me with wide, worried eyes.
"Yesss." I replied shakily. My teeth were chattering crazily and he sat me down at one of the tables.
"It's really cold outside. You could g-get sick."
Like that's going to happen. Werewolves rarely get sick.
"I'll be fine." I waved it off and noticed how his hand was still holding mine.
Ty noticed and he quickly let go with red cheeks, "S-sorry" He muttered sitting down beside me. I peeked over his shoulder to see what he was working on. It was a drawing of something odd.
"What's that?" I asked. It was a light drawing of something familiar. His face turned red and he quickly shut it.
"N-nothing." He put it in his backpack and I resisted the urge to fight him for the drawing. Why was he hiding it from me? My wolf growled at the thought. I knew that I was getting too possessive over him at the moment but it's in my blood to be protective over my mate.
"You seem to be warmer." Ty felt my forehead and I only smiled in response. The sound of a phone buzzing made us both jump. He took out his phone and read what was on it. "I-I gotta g-go. See you a-around Nicki." He got up and grabbed his bag quickly and ran out the door before I could blink. I realized that he had forgotten his jacket. I guess that would be another excuse to see him. I smiled to myself and pulled the jacket closer to me.

"Oh my gosh, I'm an awful friend!" Rose cried. I snapped out of my dreamy state and turned to her with a frown.
