Long Time No See (Headmaster Kaien Cross x Reader)

Getting Ready(Kaien's View)

Waking up, my arms were around (Y/N)'s waist and she didn't stir when I sat up. Looking down at her, I smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, gently.

'I want to marry her.'

She was stunning and a part of me, nearly, wanted to wake her up. Just so that I could see her eyes, so full of life.

"Kaien, would you quit staring in your sleep?" She mumbled, sleepily, making me chuckle and made her eyes open, slightly. The sun coming through the window, made her rub her eyes and I got up, pulling the curtains closed. Pulling on a pair of boxers and sweatpants, I felt her eyes on me and I sat at the edge of the bed, running a hand through my hair. The room was quiet, but not uncomfortably so.

"(Y/N), do you love me?" I asked, catching her off guard and looking down at my hands.

"Of course, Kaien. You should know that. I love you very much." She replied, lifting my chin with her finger and forcing our eyes to meet.

"Do you love me, Kaien?"

"More than my life."

"Then what's wrong?"

"I want to marry you."

"Kaien-"

"It doesn't have to be a huge thing. We can get married officially in private."

"..."

Her lack of a response worried me and I turned towards her, crossing my legs to face her. Lacing my fingers though her hair, I asked,

"(Y/N), will you marry me?"

"Kaien, I've told you yes to that already."

"I want to marry you today. Before I die."

"Kaien-"

"I'm begging here (Y/N)."

Sighing, she laced her fingers through my hair and pressed her lips to mine, gently. Kissing back, with the safe softness, warmth spread through my body and when she pulled away, she replied,

"Fine. We can get married at the little church in town."

Smiling, I got up and she sighed, going to the bathroom. Hearing the water start running, I smiled and pulled on a shirt, running to the teachers' dorm. Going to Yagari's room, I knocked on the door and he opened it, grumpily,

"What?"

"(Y/N) and I are getting married!"

"Oh. That's great Cross. Didn't you two agree on this already?"

"We're doing it today."

"Ohh. Need me to keep an eye of everything?"

"If you would."

"You got it. Now, go get ready."

"Thanks, Yagari."

Going to the school next, I went to Yuki and Zero's classroom, knocking. The English teacher, James, opened the door and greets,

"Oh. Good morning, Headmaster."

"Good morning, James. Can I have Yuki and Zero please?"

"Of course. Zero, Yuki. The headmaster wants to see you." He moved away from the door and went back to his lesson, as I heard two steps of foot steps. Yuki came out first and Zero followed after, looking grumpy as ever. I bounced with excitement and Zero asked,

"What's this about?"

"(Y/N) and I are going to get married today."

"What?" Yuki asked, her eyes getting wide and I told her again,

"We're getting married today."

"Are you asking us to come?"

"If you want to. I'd be happy to have you there."

"Of course we'll come! Right, Zero."

"Yeah. Sure. Nothing better to do."

Smiling, I nodded and Yuki asked,

"Is (Y/N) getting ready in your house?"

"Yes."

"I'm going help her! Zero help father get ready."

Running off, she left us alone and I smiled at the young man in front of me, making him sigh,

"Let's go get you ready, old man."

"Hey!"

"I'm just teasing. But c'mon. We'll make sure you look the part of a groom."

Nodding, I walked with him to the boy's dorm and he left me alone, going to get some clothes. Going bathe, I washed my hair and dried it, with a towel. Zero knocked on the door and said,

"Hey. I've some clothes for you to get ready in. I'll leave them outside the door."

"Okay. Thanks, Zero." Hearing his fading footsteps, I opened the door and grabbed my clothes, fresh sweatpants and a loose t-shirt. Putting on my slippers, I walked to his room and his door was open, I could hear him shuffling around. Looking through his doorway, I saw him laying out nice clothes. For him and myself. Looking over to me, he had one of my dress shirts in his hands and he informed me,

"He have an iron, but I don't know how to use it. So, if you need to do that, I suggest we do it first."

Chuckling, I nodded and ironed his clothes first, allowing him to get changed first. He decided on a, now, crisp grey button down tucked into his khaki pants, with black dress shoes. The first two buttons of his shirt were undone and I smiled, staring to iron my clothes. When I was finished, I got changed. Black dress pants, a white dress shirt tucked in, a black tie, and a suit jacket.

"You clean up nicely, Headmaster." Kaname's voice came into the room and I looked towards the doorway, replying,

"Thank you Kaname."

"So, you're finally just going for it?"

"Yes."

"Then, I will attend."

"You don't have to."

"Yes I do. She's a pure blood. It's our duty to attend. However, I will be the only one. Since I know you want to keep it quiet."

"Thank you, Kaname."

With that, we all went to the church and I talked to the priest, getting him to agree. We waited for (Y/N) and Yuki, sitting in the church quietly.
