It'd be rather odd to see a group of tall dark and hooded figures, galloping on their black horses through the desert of Jakku. The foreign riders did not have anything with them except their long sharp swords. If anyone wanted to cross the desert alive, they would never wear dark clothes. And they'd certainly would have some food (or at least water) with them. Nobody knew who or what they were, so they called them various names such as "The Hoods", "Riders from the North", and other. Some said that the strangers were chasing a traitor across the desert while others said that they were chasing a small, round orange-white droid.
