"Y/n? What are you doing here?"

"I'm sorry.. it's just... this was the only place I thought of going, I'll leave if you want me to."

Your hands clutched at your biceps in a halfhearted attempt at keeping yourself mentally secure while the hood of your jacket shadowed your face, the light from the front door of the building giving your eyes a bright glow.

"No, I dont mind, I did day you are always welcome here so come in." Midnight ushered.

You entered and stood by the couch as she went to get some water for you. You were about to sit when a file on the coffee table caught your attention.

The paper inside was a bit exposed, leaving your e/c irises to stare in horror as a cold feeling traveled up your spine.

"The memory snatcher. This villain is infamously known for taking or altering people's memories to do his bidding. He takes the memories of one person and forced them to-"

The rest was cut off by the manila folder.

"Forces them to what? What does he force them to do?"

Your hand began to reach toward the folder to read more but Midnight came out before you could. She placed the cup of clear cold fluid down on the table and snatched up the file.

"How careless of me, you weren't supposed to see that." She spoke.

"Can you tell me more? Who is that villain? What is his goal? Does he-"

"I'm sorry Y/n but that's not for you to know. Only heroes can fight villains." She sighed with a small smile.

You were quiet as you thought before locking e/c eyes with hers.

"Then I want to be a hero. You said I was before, right? So I can be one again." You spoke determinedly.

"Well yes but you would have to go through vigorous training, you can probably count on muscle memory but you cant just become a hero that quickly." She explained.

"I dont care!" You stood abruptly, "No matter how long it takes. No matter how difficult it may be! I will be a hero again!"

At your words Midnight blushed and squealed. Confused, you watched as she stood up quickly and grabbed your face in her hands.

"Such charisma and passion! Dont worry dear! I'll make you a hero!" She dawned with a bright smile. "I even still have the designs for your suit! Of course we'll need to retake your measurements but it'll be a cinch!"

You smiled and looked around the achingly familiar room again.

"Thank you so much, Midnight." You smiled.

"Its no problem for you!by the way, do you still wish to be an underground hero?" She asked.

You thought for a moment.

"Well, considering my current situation..."

"Yes, it's for the best that I'm not in the spotlight like the other heroes." You replied with a sad smile.

"If that is your wish. We will start your retraining immediately. So be ready for a hardcore workout session."

You nodded, wondering if you should leave.

"Your room is still up there." She gestured to the stairs, "You can stay here if you want."

You nodded once more and headed for the steps. She called out which direction and door it was and so you went up, disappearing into the darkness.

The door you entered creaked with age, and you stood frozen as the moonlight shown through a window, casting a beautiful but slightly eerie look on the room.

Cream walls and ceiling, bed with (choose appearance) sheets blankets and pillows, a desk with many random papers scattered around and a square (color) rug in the middle.

You looked to the side and saw a closet, partially open and revealing an outfit that had a grey blazer, dark bluish greenish skirt and button up shirt plus tie.

A voice in your head began to whisper the more you looked around the room, as if trying to explain the rooms looks and objects, but you couldn't understand what it was saying.

You stepped forward, closing the door behind you and running your hand over the well made beds sheets. Next you headed for the desk, noticing a peculiar area in the glass on the window that looked cracked and broken but was covered by a wooden slab.

"I wonder how the glass broke..."

At the desk you found work sheets of math, english, and other school subjects.

You picked up one paper that had a unique subject.

"To be a hero, an essential thing to remember and prepare for is search and rescue. Not all of heroics has to do with crime fighting."

Feeling a bit sad you placed the paper back down before noticing a notebook that had a ribbon wrapped around it.

You opened it to the last entry.

"Today was stressful. I'm beginning to appreciate that Mjdnight gave me a journal to write my thoughts in. It helps to relieve stress in a way.
It wasn't to long ago I made up with Ochako and Tsu for my previous behavior.

We'll be moving into dorms soon and I dont feel like bringing something so personal to a place someone can snoop around.

On the other hand Cactus has been a bit better. Less insults and trying to pick fights with me. I can only hope it stays that way."

"Who's Cactus?"

Your brow quirked in confusion at the strange name. And yet, it all still seemed familiar.

Everything was being hung in front if you but right before you could get an understanding it remembrance of it, it was pulled away like a string.

So close, just out of reach.

Yall, chapter 31 is gonna be spicy o///o
