Logan places a pile of rather large books he was recently assigned to put away on a table to finally catch his breath. He finally managed to find a job a few weeks back with the help of Patton and Virgil - who gave him the idea of working in a library- and he is now a week into this new job, working Monday to Tuesday. Patton said that it was too much work yet Logan was completely fine with it, he didn't want his parents to think he was lazy.
As soon as he had gained enough power to continue, he picked up the heavy books and heaved them to the other side of the room. Stupid, really. Despite appearances, Logan is not actually that strong and he finds that quite bothersome. Everytime there is a task that includes heavy lifting then he is the first choice. He promised himself that he'll work on his muscles when he moves but has not yet acted on it, mainly because he has no money to buy a gym membership.
As the day rolled by it was eventually time to go home. Logan was relieved, he could rest after all the heavy lifting. Checking his watch, he grabs his jacket and puts it on then proceeds to exit.
Since Logan did not own a car (he had a driving licence though) he would have to take some sort of public transport and so he chose the bus, already having a day rider from the trip to work.
Children and teenagers ran past him, their school was out for the day and they were heading for the bus stop. Logan sighed in frustration, if he were to travel on the bus now then there would be a number of kids who scream and shout. Not his ideal ride home. He couldn't be a choosing beggar, so he decided to wait for the next bus and so he did.
The bus arrived, Logan showed his ticket and went to sit down on the blue and white seats. Only a few other kids as well as some adults boarded the bus, it was reasonably quiet apart from the casual laughs coming from the children. Logan was fine with that.
When he finally arrived home he found that the lifts were broken. No big deal, Logan only lived on the 5th floor and so he trudged up the stairs, only slightly annoyed with the incident.
5 minutes went by and Logan turned a corner that lead to his apartment but stopped when he saw something - well, someone.
"Hey" Virgil greeted from his place curled up on the floor beside his door. There it is. That feeling. The feeling Logan always gets when Virgil is around but he just can not explain. It annoyed Logan to the point it felt like he wanted to be around the other at all times. He blamed it on their friendship - not really having an actual friend before--and left it at that.
"May I ask why you are down there, Virgil?" Logan asked, reaching out his hand to help the emo up.
"Locked myself out" The other shrugged, accepting the helping hand and pulling himself up. "I'm so stupid!"
"While I do agree that was unfortunate, what are your options?"
Virgil shrugged again and leant against the white wall he was recently knelt by "'dunno, wait for Patton to come home, I guess"
Looking down and grabbing his keys, Logan offered to welcome him into his house, which Virgil reluctantly agreed.
Logan felt… Happy? He was never good with his emotions so why now? Why only when Virgil was around he felt happy? Sure he has felt this way other times like when he got a book he has been wanting but never around another human. Logan hated it, he hated all of it. Emotion, feelings and he despised all of it. The amount of times he had felt emotions for something and then ended it with disappointment was enough! At a very young age he decided to ignore his emotion and it worked…. Until now…
"Would you like some coffee, Virgil?" The taller one politely asked, already turning the (newly re-filled) coffee machine on and placing a cup underneath it then grabbing another out of the cupboard. The other didn't reply for a bit as they thought.
"Yeah, sure. Thanks" Virgil replied as he sat down on the - and he quotes-- ridiculously comfy pillows that lay upon the sofa.
"Of course" The cups slowly filled up one by one.

Virgil sighs as he finishes the caffeine filled drink since he really could do with more. Logan offered but Virgil declined, not wanting to make the other do useless tasks for him. Patton always told him not to drink too much but what are you going to do when you work in 2 shops that serve mainly coffee? Eat cake and sing to songs in booty shorts? Well, some of those cliche teenage girls do and it really makes Virgil want to scratch out his own eyes with their high notes. It doesn't help that one of those places he works in is Starbucks, that place just attracts those sorts of people.
Taking his phone out of his pocket and checking the time he says "I-I think Patton should be home in a bit. I should head back" To be truthfully honest, Virgil didn't want to go back just yet but the anxiety was killing him! What if Logan only invited him because he wanted to gain his trust then kick him out? What if Logan didn't like him and just wanted to be mean? How about if Virgil was being too much and Logan only did this because he felt like he had too? Virgil shook these thoughts out of his head looked up when Logan replied.
"It is only 5:25pm, I'm sure Patton arrives home at 5:30. Am I correct?" Logan says, picking up both the empty cups and taking them to the sink to clean later.
"Yeah, is it cool if I stay here until then?"
"Of course, Virgil"
5 minutes went by and both the males started to strike up a conversation about the night or some geeky subject like it but stopped when another knock sounded at the door. They both knew who it was by the pattern and speed of the bangs and both of them silently wished it was their imagination. The door opened.
"Hey kiddos!" Patton gleamed, walking in from the empty hallways. Of course they love Patton but they secretly wanted to spend more time with each other. The smarter one blamed it on the subject they were recently indulged in while Virgil didn't know. He (maybe) already had a special somebody, depending on if it worked out or not. "Ah! I knew you would be here Vee!"
"Where else would I be, Pat?"
"Uuuhh… In a hive!" The bubbly boy joked, earning a sigh from Logan and a light chuckle from Virgil. "Sorry, Lo, but we gotta go! Virgil's parents called and we gotta help them move." Virgil groaned, murmured something about 'lazy siblings' and raised from his spot on the sofa.
"Understandable" The other nodded and all of them said their goodbyes.
Once they left the room Logan sighed. Why was he upset now? Maybe because he was interested in the topic they were talking about? Yeah, that has to be it.
(A/N so how u guys liking it so far? Is the writing too less descriptive? Just please tell me how I cn improve, I won't hate you! I strive for the tips!!)
