Later on, outside the cabins, Annalys stood at the shore, watching as men brought the Wildlings who were leaving with them onto the boats to carry them over to the larger ships.

"How many are with us?" Jon asked Tormund and Annalys as they walked over to them after assisting a few elder Wildlings onto the boats, "Five thousand?"

"I'm not good at counting," Tormund responded, turning to glance at all of the boats filled with his people heating toward the fleet of ships.

Jon turned toward Annalys for an answer, only to get a shrug in return. After she and Tormund picked up two cloths wrapped around an individual's belongings, they made their way over a boat still at the shore. Before they could reach the boat, Jon grabbed Tormund by the arm, causing both him and Annalys to stop where they stood, "We're leaving too many behind," Jon complained.

Jon let go of his grip on Tormund, allowing the man to turn to face him fully, "The Free Folk are stubborn. You know how long it took Mance to band them together?" He asked, but Jon remained silent, waiting for an answer, "Twenty fucking years."

"And he knew them better than I ever will," Jon commented, causing Tormund to turn to him once more even though he was planning to walk away.

"They're running out of food and there's nothing to hunt. They'll come around." Tormund assured him and Jon turned to Annalys, who gave him a reassuring smile before turning on her heel.

She began to walk away from him, which concerned Jon because he didn't want her out of his sight in fear of her getting hurt. Jon got ready to follow after her, only to stop when a hand grabbed onto his arm. He turned his head, only to see that it was Tormund.

The Wildling shook his head, telling him not to go after Annalys, "She can take care of herself," He found himself saying, despite the fact that he barely knew the woman, "She stood up to me and a Thenn and showed no fear. You shouldn't be scared of her being harmed, you should be scared of what she would do to the person who tried to harm her."

Jon sighed in defeat, watching as Annalys walked up to where Karsi was placing her two daughters into a boat, "Johnna is gonna look after you. She's in charge, you listen to her." Karsi told her youngest daughter.

"I wanna go with you." The young girl whined, clearly not wanting to leave without her mother.

"I need to get the old folks on the boats. I'm right behind you, I promise," Karsi told her daughters, kissing them both on the forehead, "Go on."

As her daughters floated away on the boat with some other Wildlings, Karsi watched them closely, not taking her eyes off them for a moment. Annalys walked up to her, causing Karsi to turn her head to look at her, "They'll be safe, right?" She asked Annalys in concern, "Can I trust that my daughters will be safe if anything were to happen to me?"
